I would absolutely love to give the RSL more stars. I had a very lovely schnitzel and salad. But my father's meal was oily and unenjoyable.
If this were just about the food, it would probably be a solid four stars.
However, I had the worst experience with one of the bar staff, who sneered at me and shook their head and then walked to the other end of the bar and had a different staff member come and serve me.

Read moreWent here for dinner after full day of travelling, what a delight. The food was just delicious and the dinning area was very nice. Had the herb and pepper squid and it was the best I have ever had, it had a lovely flavour and melted in your mouth. The salad that accompanied it was also very tasty with a light dressing. Hubby had the Porterhouse steak with veges. The steak was soft and the veges slightly firm, which was perfect. He stated they were also very delicious. Price was normal club meal prices for these days. What a surprise for an RSL/club feed. Would highly recommend, we will be returning on our way back...
Read moreThis evening we visited the Wirraway Bistro in a party of 11 ladies. We ordered two serves of the Warm Halloumi Salad ($25) with the addition of chicken ($8). Our salad consisted of predominantly lettuce, with the addition of a little bit of finely sliced fennel and red onion. There was also farro that had been added to the salad. It was mentioned on the menu that pomegranate was an ingredient of the dish, however not one pomegranate jewel could be found, which was very disappointing.
