A relaxed Sunday afternoon, we visited this Chinese restaurant. Though the dining area was only half full, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, thanks to the spacious layout, gleaming clean surfaces, and bright lighting that made the place feel vibrant and airy. Our experience began on a positive note with the attentive and friendly waitress who made us feel immediately welcome. We opted for two dishes: the Fried Squid with Veggies and the Fried Duck with Lemon Sauce. The fried squid, though a standard choice on many Chinese menus, was perfectly cooked. The highlight of the meal was the Fried Duck with Lemon Sauce. The dish was a pleasant surprise, offering something different from the usual fare. The duck was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a tangy yet subtle lemon sauce that didn’t overpower the natural richness of the meat. As a nice touch, the restaurant also provided complimentary prawn crackers, adding a light, crunchy start to the meal. While the fried squid didn’t do much to distinguish itself, the Fried Duck with Lemon Sauce made a memorable impression. With generous portions and friendly service, Ming Dynasty proves to be a solid choice for a casual Chinese dining experience.

Second generation long-term customer of 25+ years Prices are excellent for people on a pension or restricted income $14.50 takeaway lunch special with well sized portions. The small is large enough to have leftovers for the next 2-3 meals. You know the food is good when the sign outside is old sun faded and hasnt been touched in 20+ years. They still have the fish tank and old analog TV in the waiting area. With all the rapid changes going on in the world, Ming Dyansty remains the same Nice music at a reasonable volume over the speakers so you don't have to raise your voice to hold conversation. Excellent staff. Mee Goreng is DELICIOUS + not spicy like many places (you can request spicy). All the flavour with no bite if you cant handle traditional spicy Chinese food like me. If you dine in, they'll let you take the food home in containers if you can't eat it all in one sitting. Dine-in or takeaway. Never waited more than 15 minutes for food and the food is always hot and fresh. Also: prawn crackers!

Yes yes yes. Fabulous place with excellent friendly service. They have different prices for take away or eat in. So I prefer takeaway as the food is packaged so well and it’s very fresh and hot to eat when you get home. Their fried rice is the best fried rice I have ever had and I could eat it daily. I get a large Fried rice for $12 and it’s a great meal just on its own, with left over for the next day. Their sweet and sour fried chicken is amazing but the sauce could use a bit more vinegar to make it more tangy. Xoxo

After reading reviews on Ming Dynasty I phoned through my order taken from their online Menu - Black Pepper Beef - $14.50 & Small Combination Fried Rice - $9.50 = $24.00. On collection the Black Pepper Beef - $17.50, Combination Fried Rice - $14.00 - $31.50. I queried the overcharge - “you got Large Combination Fried Rice, $4.50 more” (I ordered small). I was more hungry than I was prepared to challenge the cashier so did not bother to query the extra charge of $3.00 on the Black Pepper Beef although I was pretty ticked off. The food was still hot when I got home & that is where it ended.. The Combination Fried Rice was dry & tasteless - no worries the sauce from the Black Pepper Beef should spruce that up. The Beef dish contained vegetables cut in pieces of normal size however, throughout the dish were HUGE chunks of cauliflower. There are two words for the beef - disgusting & inedible. Every piece I tried was so TOUGH and full of SINEWS it was impossible to chew. It simply would not break down sufficiently to be comfortably swallowed regardless of how long it was chewed & I have good teeth. It would have been very embarrassing to eat this meat in the restaurant as I had to spit out every piece. To add insult to injury the sauce had NO, absolutely NO taste whatsoever & classing myself as a pretty good cook, I am still wondering “no smell, no taste so what made it “brown”?? In fairness I would like to mention I tried 6 pieces of the meat so have no idea if every piece was like what I tried but felt if they were indicative of the rest I wasn’t going to waste my time & energy. The quantity was generous although that was of no consequence to me, it is the most disappointing meal I have ever had & it went in the bin. I have written many reviews for restaurants. It is inevitable some will disappoint but I never considered writing a negative review. I wanted to detail my experience with Ming Dy/nasty because there was absolutely nothing...
