Green St Cafe is a new bright, spacious and beautifully decorated cafe in Morley, and is the sister cafe to Peppermint Green cafe in Joondalup. The wild mushrooms dish is an absolute winner!! A mixture of perfectly cooked wild mushrooms, on top of toasted sourdough bread spread with the most delicious cashew butter, served with roasted vine tomatoes, kale pesto and beetroot hummus - I could not fault a thing! 10/10 ๐๐ป๐๐ป This can also be made GF on request. Also tried their vanilla & coconut pannacotta - so incredibly thick and creamy (as a pannacotta should be!), and you can see that real vanilla bean has been used. Served with amazing chunky housemade granola, a berry compote, figs and other fresh seasonal fruit. I recommend asking for some mylk on the side as there is a very generous amount of granola! Other vegan options include the Sustain Bowl on the lunch menu, which changes weekly, and they have some vegan sweets in their cabinet too. They also have a beautiful private room that would be perfect for group gatherings, and a small shop inside the cafe selling locally made products. Green St Cafe is located right across from the Galleria and there is plenty of...
ย ย ย Read moreVisited again last week. Just a heads up that the French Toast is actually not toast at all. Looking at a response to a review below, itโs a โtwistโ on the original - none of this is mentioned on the menu. Itโs more like a gelatinous cake, cut into a perfect square with some chocolate sauce chucked on the top. Unfortunately it didnโt taste great. The waitress (dark hair, heavy eyelashes) was also a bit odd and rude when putting my drink on the table - walked up and plonked it on there roughly, in silence, without looking at me. Would be great if they could update the menu with an accurate description of the โFrench toastโ.
Nice place with friendly staff. I had the breakfast gnocchi which was pretty good. Would have loved to have given 5 stars but maybe it was an off day as unfortunately the poached egg wasn't soft poached and was really more like a boiled egg without the shell. On a positive note the iced chocolate I had was good with a pretty decent amount of milk, and thankfully wasn't just a glass full of ice cubes. Will most likely go back and give it another go! The seating area is really nice and place has a...
ย ย ย Read moreI normally would not give a review, but felt this need to be shared. People may agree may disagree, each their own. I believe this will be a productive feedback for customer service. Thought I support local since its newly opened in my local area and have heard good feedback about the coffee. Thought I drop in the Cafe and order a coffee, during my usual walk. Generally you know from the get go, if you will get great customer service or not, when you walk into a Cafe. I definitely didn't from the beginning to the end, as i felt like I was judged by the staff, from the interaction of order until I got my order. Another customer came in after (approx 5-10mins) ordered the same. The staff that took my order walked out to hand the coffee to the customer at the waiting area. When my order was ready, it was sure a different treatment, there was no transparency in how my order was received, compare to the other customer who came in after and left before and the Cafe was not busy at the time. Hence the 1 star for customer service, coffee was...
