Sun On Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Morley

On Mothers Day we had such a wonderful meal and great service. I booked a table for 4 for Mother’s Day lunchtime, on the sat before. A young waitperson answered the phone and took my booking without my phone no. He happened to be a new employee and did not know that the restaurant does not open for lunch on Sundays. When we got to the restaurant, we saw the Closed sign on the door. We had our mum with us, and being elderly, she too became disappointed. So I rang the restaurant phone number hoping someone answered, and she did. I explained that we were in front of the restaurant, also thinking I was at the wrong restaurant, but the lady explained that because they didn’t have my no, actually organized a chef and herself to let us dine in. I felt so bad and said that wasn’t necessary and that we can find another place to go to, but she insisted that we come in. Her name is Cindy, and she made us feel so comfortable. We all had a delicious seafood dishes. I was so taken back what the restaurant did for us and highly recommend the restaurant, not only for for what they did for us but the meal too made our day. Completely bland in flavour.

I don't know if it was the perticular chef working or what.. but my food was so bland I stopped eating it.. Seshaun beef tastes like a plum sauce with barely any flavour other then that vegetable pork was watery and could barely taste anything.. even the special fried rice "one of my staples at Chinese places" because how can you mess up fried rice? I just ate the BBQ pork out of it.. my friends fried chicken honey was nice. Having said that I don't like honey.. so no idea why I thought it was nice..

The only reason I'm giving this food a 2 star is the very nice lady that served me was wonderful but there is no way I'm coming back here 60$...

First and last time we will use this place. Telephoned an order to pick up ($195) last night at 6.10pm and was told it would be ready in 30-35 minutes. On arriving order was read back to us and we paid then they informed us it’s not quite ready as the chow mein dishes take longer to cook???. Ok that’s fine.kept waiting and eventually was handed to us at 8pm nearly 2 hours later. Was the wait worth it NO!. Fried rice was dry and rock hard. Chow mein dishes bland no flavour. Honey chicken was just a sticky gloop with rock hard over cooked chicken strips. Szechuan beef was bland no heat to it. Vegetable dishes were ok as...
