Honestly if your not getting a panang curry lunch special your missing out one of the finer things in life. $12 for chicken and $14 for duck its an accomplishment as much in taste as it is in affordability. Extremely generous servings for both eat and take away options, what more can you ask for nowadays?
It features a rich and mildly spiced curry of peanut and coconut that in all sense of the words is an authentic thai comfort food. Perfect for those drizzly winter days it will be certain to become a staple even in the summer off season. I highly recommend modify your dish with added snow peas for a bit of an added variety and sweet crispness that cuts through the richness.
As someone who has genuinely had this dish hundreds of time with an almost religous routine I will be offended and critical of your judgement if you do not become an immediate fan.
The service at Sattahip is a family affair and is hospitality as organically as it comes, which keeps me coming back for more and late to return to work. It may not be the fanciest venue but sit back and enjoy a genuine atmosphere filled with small personal details and being treated like a person instead of a wallet. As a well kept secret it is a small operation and if it is busy patience may be required but every dish is one best served with anticipation.

Read moreAs we never had Thai food before, I must admit we were bit skeptical about trying it given that we are very picky about food options. But given the reviews, being around Moss Vale around lunch time and no other better alternative we decided to try Sattahip Thai. As a trial we ordered 2 items for 4 adults - Ginger Pepper sauce Chicken Stir Fry with Jasmine Rice and Thai Green curry with Jasmine Rice. Both were mind-blowing, the flavours just stood out craving for more. As the trial was successful , we decided to order 2 more items - Chilli Basil sauce Chicken Stir Fry with Jasmine Rice and Thai Chicken Fried Rice. Our expectations set very high now, the next 2 items were equally awesome served piping hot. Out of all the 4 my favourite was the Thai Chicken Fried Rice which the staff had recommended me to try out. So glad we tried the Thai cuisine today and now become big fans of it. The staff including the Chef were extremely welcoming and polite. The cost is very economical for the taste they offer. This place is a must visit if you are...
