Set out Friday night to shout my wife and kids to a quiet relaxed dinner at a quaint sushi train restaurant, but based on massive popularity and reviews we’d heard about Spritz, we decided to go at about 6-6:30pm. Called ahead to check on reservation policy and told just to come along as no bookings taken. When we arrived, customers and tables full in and outside restaurant made for a crazy unrelaxed volume level which got to us all in the first five mins of waiting. Without a sign or something to indicate where we should stand and wait to be seated, we stood near the entrance and where customers pay (their bar). We were very politely met by a lovely Italian waiter and she asked us to wait a minute so she could figure out where we could sit. Another waiter rudely told us we needed to form a line outside on the pedestrian walkway as we were blocking flow into the restaurant, now WE’RE saying “sorry” to him (first bad sign). A third and much nicer Italian waiter came and escorted us to an inside table and provided us with menus. The noise in this place was just so stressful (you’ll need to experience it yourself to understand). We were promptly approached by not one but two waiters, one to ask if we wanted to order drinks and one to pour us table water. We asked for another minute to browse their drinks menu and within a minute he was back and we were feeling rushed to choose a drink. Kids ordered soft drinks and wife and I decided to try their signature Spritz cocktails, which were disappointing to be fair and $18 each which for the ingredients and glass of ice is simply daylight robbery. We ordered some Italian favourites we’d normally order anyway. Whilst waiting for our food we noticed a couple next to us not happy with one of their pasta dishes which included black mussels to the edge. They offered to replace it for her but she did not want more food (our second warning). Instead they brought her a complimentary glass of wine (that’s a fair gesture). My daughter ordered a main serve of chilli mussels which were average and whilst helping her to eat them, we all ate some very off and unfresh ones. My wood fired pizza was tasty but very soggy to eat. $160 bill later, we all felt unsettled in the stomach and my youngest having to throw up her meal half way home (car sickness, bad food, who really knows). Can’t understand what people are...
Read moreMy recent visit to Spritz Spizzicheria in Perth was an absolute delight from start to finish. This place has a fantastic energy – the vibes were exactly what I was hoping for: a perfect blend of relaxed and lively, making it a great spot for a casual dinner with friends or even a solo treat.
Right from the moment we were seated, the service was truly awesome. Our server was attentive, friendly, and genuinely seemed to care about ensuring we had a great experience. They were happy to answer our questions and offered recommendations with a smile. It's the kind of service that elevates a good meal to a memorable one.
And then there's the food – simply delicious. We decided to try a few different items to get a good feel for the menu, and we were not disappointed. The pizza had that perfect balance of a crispy crust and flavorful toppings. You could tell the ingredients were fresh and high-quality.
The pasta dish we ordered was equally impressive. The sauce was rich and well-seasoned, and the pasta itself was cooked al dente, just the way it should be. Each bite was a burst of authentic Italian flavor.
Finally, the calamari was a standout. It was tender, not chewy at all, and the light, crispy batter was seasoned perfectly. It was the ideal appetizer to kick off our meal.
What really made Spritz Spizzicheria stand out was the combination of all these elements. The delicious and authentic Italian cuisine, the fantastic and welcoming atmosphere, and the truly awesome service all came together to create a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience. It's clear that the team at Spritz Spizzicheria are passionate about what they do, and it shines through in every aspect of the restaurant.
If you're in Perth and looking for a place with great vibes, outstanding service, and incredibly delicious pizza, pasta, and calamari (and I'm sure the rest of the menu is just as good), then I wholeheartedly recommend giving Spritz Spizzicheria a visit. I left feeling completely satisfied and am already looking forward to my next meal there....

Spritz is hands down the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to. Every dish feels like it’s been crafted with care, love, and authentic Italian passion. The sauces are absolute perfection—beautifully balanced, never too acidic, yet bursting with flavour. Their homemade pasta is divine, with the gnocchi quite literally melting in your mouth. The seafood dishes are fresh and perfectly prepared, and the pizzas… wow. The dough is wonderfully crispy, the sauce is rich and vibrant, and every topping tastes just right.
The staff are all Italian and incredibly welcoming. They know the menu inside and out, and they’re more than happy to recommend dishes or help you pair your meal with the perfect drink. Speaking of drinks, ordering a Spritz here is a treat in itself—you get a large, generous glass of Spritz plus a cheese board! When we visited as a group of four, they even brought one cheese board for each of us, just from ordering one drink. Each board came with cheese, bread, prosciutto, and olives—a delicious surprise that really showed how generous and thoughtful the service is.
There’s also a fantastic gelato shop right outside, connected to the restaurant, serving some of the best ice cream you’ll ever have—perfect for rounding off your meal. And with its beautiful outdoor terrace, Spritz offers the perfect setting to relax, enjoy incredible food, and soak up the atmosphere, and it’s not too noisy even when it’s busy.
Unfortunately, there’s no booking system so you just have to go and wait for a table to free up. That might be something they can add in the future however the lines aren’t that long even in peak time. It’s only about 15 minutes to half an hour.
If you’re looking for authentic Italian cuisine, warm hospitality, and a dining experience you’ll remember long after your last bite, Spritz is...
