Relish — Restaurant in Murwillumbah

Reading the reviews there are a few that have commented on the rudeness of some of the staff here. We ordered coffee while waited for our friend to arrive before ordering food. The woman who served me was aggressive and rude for the start. I went back out to the table to wait for the coffee, my little puppy gave a few excited barkes. The staff member called out from across the footpath, 'Keep your dog quiet or you'll need to leave', in such an aggressive way, with no eye contact, any wonder they are empty. My other friend was inside ordering breakfast. When he returned I told him what had happened. We then told staff we'd take the food away, we didn't want to dine in such an unpleasant atmosphere. I'm still a little puzzled if the rudeness came from the fact I'm a transwoman, or they just don't care how they treat the customers. The food we ate when we got home, wasn't bad. Visited here after a long drive for a late lunch and ordered a tomato and feta quiche and coffee. The quiche was like eating dried out mueslie and a horrible taste so I had to leave it. When I politely informed a team member she told the owner who just shrugged and looked the other way. Wow, is this the new Customer Service or have you not completed the Pre-School fundamentals of how to resolve a complaint! Really, if this is your standard of food and service just close shop, sell up and move out so other more dedicated hospitality businesses can have the opportunity to make a business in Murwillumbah look partially decent. The brunette behind the counter is extremely rude, we have come here multiple times and the staff, food and coffee are wonderful however if you happen to get this one staff member she will make rude remarks if you order something with or without something saying it’s too busy and refuses to change the order.
