Recent update - January 2024 I am writing this with a heavy heart, as I really want to support the local shops in town, but have to say I'm a little disappointed with my last couple experiences here.
The food is still reasonably good, sushi is still fresh, and tasty. However I feel that the value side isn't quite there when I compare to other sushi places in the Gold Coast region - the serving sizes are really on the smaller side.
I got two noodle plates today - one ramen, one udon. I'm a bit of a ramen geek, and while it was ok, it wasn't anything special. To be frank, I have probably made ramen at home myself from a packet that is almost as good. What was most disappointing was that I only got 2 pieces of chicken about golf ball size - for around $20. The udon had more chicken, but the meal was still not what I would call large. Soup needed more body also.

Paid for rice but got no rice. Had to get cash out to pay for the order. Just little annoyances but all this together makes for a bad experience. Maybe it’s a communication issue between front of house...
Read moreI went on a Tuesday night. I had nigiri, tempura, takoyaki and miso. The vegetable tempura was perfect, with home made matcha salt. The nigiri was cross hatched by hand, nice touch which made it easier to dunk in the soy. The takoyaki was great on a bed of shredded purple cabbage. The miso soup came out at just the right temperature. The presentation was beautiful with really cool hand crafted bowls and the staff were really friendly and helpful. 10/10 would love to go...
