Nelson Way Café, Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Nelson Bay

WOW! So my partner and myself stayed at the resort next door for three nights over Valentine’s Day/weekend and we had meals from here FOUR times during that period. We cannot fault ANYTHING. Night one we had the bruschetta, a pesto chicken fettuccine and a boscaiola fettuccine which the staff had no problem adding chicken to the latter as well and they both had so much flavour! Absolutely delicious and huge servings! The next morning I called them to place an order for breakfast to eat in our room and they called me back shortly afterwards to let me know that it was ready to collect downstairs. Bacon, eggs, spinach and tomatoes on sourdough and again it was fantastic and very well priced. Later that night we ordered a tandoori chicken pizza and it was seriously the BEST pizza that we’ve ever had in our lives (trust me we KNOW our pizza) in fact we ordered it again the next night as it was just so so good! We absolutely love this place and the location was just so convenient as well. Everything from the super friendly service from the staff to the presentation of the venue to the display of a local artists works in the restaurant (paintings/umbrellas/mats etc) which were available for purchase to the short wait times for our meals to the fantastic presentation of the meals we give this place 100% 5 stars! Do yourself a favour and try the pizza and pasta! We are already planning our next trip back guys so don’t change a thing you’re smashing it! 💕 P.S. Apologies for no photos of the bruschetta or pasta as they were gone far too quickly before we had even thought about taking a photo but they were AMAZING...

This place is honestly amazing. We stayed at Landmark Resort and this venue is right downstairs. Hands down my favourite café/restaurant in the area! We went on the off season but it was amazing none the less.

The gentleman at the front was so friendly and accommodating, which made us feel so welcome straight away.

The food? Spectacular. I tried the schnitzel, Nelson salad, chorizo pizza, banana bread, and meatball pizza over three days and two nights (breakfast and dinner) and that's in order of my favourites! Everything was delicious, fresh and full of flavour. My partner had the fish and chips, prawn pizza and nelson breakfast which he loved! We only ate here during our stay and do not regret it.

They also accommodated our request to have a half prawn and half meatball pizza at an extra cost which was fine by us. So you know it is fresh! I imagine only done due to being off season.

We love this place and the staff! We are such a large group we always forget to book they always manage to fit us in, we eat here almost everyday while staying at hotel we have pretty much ordered everything off the menu and it’s all delicious! Kids love the butter chicken & spag bowl, my family and I often share the oysters as entree, the curry dishes are fantastic , my absolute fav is the lamb cutlets dish always perfectly cooked, kids all get a baby chino which they all love We have had all the pizzas on the menu and all were great delicious pizzas The owners work so hard, day and night and every single time they are welcoming, accommodating and food never disappoints! Definitely worth the visit ! They Can accommodate large groups or small We love the outdoor area where kids can play on grassed area while we continue to eat!
