The girl with brown hair who served me was rude and lacked basic customer service skills. When I asked for chicken salt on everything, she just replied “yep,” and when I asked for extra salt, she basically chucked the chicken salt at me and told me to salt it myself — completely unprofessional behaviour. Within five minutes of walking in, I had my order, but the quality was unacceptable. The chips were undercooked, the potato scallop was the same, the battered sav was barely cooked, and the fish was only warm inside, despite me living just two minutes away. You’d think that with no one else in the store, there would be time to take care and produce quality food. Whether it’s for locals or visitors, more effort should be put into both the service and the food. Absolutely unacceptable...

Spent $50 on dinner for 3 people and not one of us could eat the crap. Granddaughter had nuggets and chips said chips were disgusting and the nuggets just looked gross had yellow stuff on them, partner had shnitty burger and chips same thing chips disgusting and he had one bite of burger and it went in the bin, I had a steak sanga the steak was so tiny and very chewy and gristley and had no taste they didn't cut the sanga like every other place does had more lettuce and beetroot than anything on it. Prices were ridiculous for what uuou get..I will never be spending another cent in that place and most definitely won't be recommending...

First time here at Cessnock shop, due to a blackout in my area, when I first walked in there were two very young female employees, ordered basic crumbed fish and chips, all good, my order was in a cardboard tray inside a paper bag, so did not see the contents until I opened it by the light of my mobile phone, the chips looked like the dregs from the bag and yellowish and no flavor, the so called fish, it looked very overcooked and very dark brown like it had been reheated a few times, hardly any fish in-between very hard crumbed outer and no flavor at...
