The dining room is nice and comfortable. There were a few patrons in there when we first arrived which was 8.00ish on a Monday night, so that was good. The food was okay. The ravioli I had stated on the menu that it was homemade, but it didn't taste like it was fresh. I suggest it was homemade and then deep frozen. The good thing was that there was a massive serving of it, with lots of sauce, basil and shaved parmesan (which I enjoy) but I didn't request it. I would recommend if you don't like it to ask that it be left off the dish. Also BIG bowl of chips for the table (good value) and the cheesy garlic bread was really tasty and lots of it. When we arrived we asked what time the kitchen would close and were told it was around an hour later. We ordered quickly so that wasn't an issue. There was however, an issue that ALL of the food my companion and I ordered, came out pretty much at once! I got the very strong impression that the kitchen wanted to close early, because very shortly after we were served, that's exactly what occurred. It definitely was a short time between being served the entire table's food and the kitchen closing. I understand wanting to have an early night but this shouldn't come at the expense of patrons' enjoyment of their meal. All in the meal was okay, definitely good value. I will visit here again and try something...

Travelling for work there was 4 of us and decided to go here for dinner. Where to start the place wasn’t busy at all so we grabbed some drinks and ordered dinner. Meals came out 1 plate at a time and the medium steak I ordered came out rare, but no wait staff came back to check, so I took it up to the bar to let them know. All I got from bar staff was I’ll let the chef know. No offer of re cooking or another meal s you could see that I didn’t eat the steak, but they certainly made sure they still charged me for it. So after only eating my veggies and no steak of to the pokies I go, but don’t use the bar in there as you ring the bell for service and nobody comes so back to the bar I go to grab a drink to find all staff standing around talking and I stood there until they were finished talking god forbid there is a thing as customer service. They seem quite happy to take your money when suits them but don’t offer any service...

If today's treatment by Staff represents the Service that you provide soon you will have no Customers. Ordering my meal a waitress leant over the bench in front of me to use the hand santiser, no 'excuse me' or waiting til I had moved. At the bar the gentlemen who served us made no eye contact, no smile, no conversation, did not offer a straw. At the Bistro a lady called Judy verbally abused me very loudly as I got cutlery from the bench. Apparently I am meant to stay 1.5 metres from the counter & not get my own cutlery. There was NO SIGNAGE stating that. Yesterday I got my own cutlery & was not abused. She then proceded to abuse the other Staff. If Customers are not meant to be near the counter where there is food or cutlery I suggest moving the Register away from the counter that you order at & also place signage stimulating that the Staff will bring Cutlery, sauces etc. Unless of course you do not wish to have any...

Grabbed lunch here recently on our way back from Mildura and were able to order just before the kitchen closed. We decided on the special of Barramundi with Garlic Prawns, grabbing one with chips and salad and the other with mash and veggies. Needless to say the food came out quickly with the portion sizing being really generous, with plenty of prawns! The food itself was delicious with the Barramundi and Prawns cooked perfectly. The restaurant itself was quiet (due to our timing) but the staff were really friendly and not once did we feel rushed to leave. They have a great outdoor area which no doubt gets busier during the evening and weekends. Would definitely recommend.

I came here about a month ago and the food was pretty good. Nice portion sizes and and prices. The chicken parma was mediocre but other dishes such as the spaghetti bolognese was very flavourful and the staff were very attentive. HOWEVER, I found a stick, a piece of bark in my salad. Yeah crazy to believe and I don't know how it got it there but it was coated in salad dressing and picked up thinking it was a chunk of beef that had fallen onto my plate by accident but no, I took a bite out of it and it in fact was a piece of tree bark or some sort of stick. The waitress took it and apologised so it was okay.

We came here for a meal, great to see a country Pub serving meals until 9pm on a Sunday night. We had been to see River Lights and needed somewhere to eat dinner. All three meals were beautiful. I had Chicken Snitzel with Chips and Vegetables and a serve of Pepper Sauce. $26 And they didn't charge for the Pepper Sauce, Most places these days add on $2 or $3 for Sauce. My cousins had Fish and Chips $26 and Garlic Prawns $30. Next time your in Swan Hill I would highly recommend a visit over the river to Murray Downs to The Federal Hotel.
