The Pad Thai and black sticky rice custard were actually quite enjoyable—flavourful, nicely done. So it’s a real shame the customer service was bafflingly poor for such a simple request. We ordered through DoorDash and called the restaurant to ask if we could swap the lime (which usually comes with Pad Thai) for a slice of lemon. You’d think this would be a straightforward yes or no. Instead, we were told—very firmly—that the dish doesn’t come with either lemon or lime, and if we wanted lemon, we’d have to pay $1. For one slice. Of lemon. Now, we’d just spent $40 on one main and a small dessert, so it didn’t seem outrageous to think a simple citrus garnish could be accommodated. But sure, let’s swipe the card and pay the extra dollar. Oh, and bonus points—we were also charged a credit card fee for this whopping $1 transaction. Classy. Then came the punchline: they ended up sending a lime anyway. When I called to ask about it—not something I’d usually bother with, but the whole thing was so ridiculous I couldn’t help myself—I was told by I believe her name is Maddie that if they don’t have lemon, they’ll just send lime because "they taste the same." Just to clarify: limes are typically more bitter and aromatic, whereas lemons are sharper, tangier, and brighter. They’re both citrus fruits, sure, but saying they "taste the same" is like saying Coke and Pepsi are identical because they're both fizzy and dark. It wasn’t about the money. It was about the rigid, dismissive attitude and the complete lack of basic customer care. One dollar, one garnish, and one massive overreaction on their end. What a joke. Food: good. Service: unnecessarily difficult.

I had a weekend visit to Toukley and gave this restaurant a try. The Calamari with basil was the best I have had in a very long time. I did ordered Thai spicy and got what i wanted as you can tell from the amount of chilli lol. (I am thai). But to be honest, the spicyness was perfect for me. Those chilli werent as hot as it looked. The service was really slow, we got our food probably around 45 mins after ordering it. Although it was a valentines evening and the restaurant was busy. The other 2 dishes we ordered, chicken cashew nut was not bad and Labb duck was a bit too salty.

Fantastic restaurant, friendly staff and fast service. Been visiting this place for years and will continue to return. They even have gluten free options available. The entrees are yummy, the satay with peanut sauce especially! Mains are very filling but beautiful. Lovely yellow or green curry, the masaman is also a favourite. The chilli pork is wonderful!! Thank you.

Hello, Daniel here.

I am making this review in regards to the dine-in experience. The overall experience was quite good. There were two charming waiters and the food was quite exquisite. However, there is one major fault about the restaurant. As a regular customer, the music was very repetitive as I come in around at the same time every week or so. The music is always the exact same and it gives off a really slow ambience.

Here is an essay to illustrate why you should consider changing music. Playing different music every day in a restaurant is not only good but also crucial to creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for customers. Music is a powerful tool that can influence mood, behavior, and emotions, and the right selection can significantly enhance the dining experience. In this essay, we will explore the benefits of playing different music every day in a restaurant.

Firstly, playing different music every day in a restaurant creates a dynamic environment that keeps customers engaged and interested. This is especially important for repeat customers who may be looking for something new and exciting each time they visit the restaurant. With a diverse selection of music, customers can enjoy different genres and styles, from classical to jazz, pop to rock, or even world music. This variety adds a new dimension to the dining experience and makes it more enjoyable for all customers.

Secondly, music can have a positive impact on a customer's mood, which can enhance their dining experience. Playing upbeat music can help customers feel more energetic, while playing slower and more relaxed music can create a more soothing and calming atmosphere. By selecting the right music, restaurants can create an environment that is conducive to the type of dining experience they want to provide.

Thirdly, music can influence a customer's perception of food and drink, which can increase sales and customer satisfaction. Research has shown that playing music that is associated with a particular cuisine, such as playing Italian music in an Italian restaurant, can make customers more likely to order food and drink from that cuisine. Additionally, playing music that is associated with certain flavors or aromas, such as playing music with citrusy notes in a restaurant that serves citrusy dishes, can enhance the customer's perception of the food and drink they are consuming.

Lastly, music can create a sense of ambiance and atmosphere that enhances the overall dining experience. This is especially important for restaurants that want to create a particular ambiance, such as a romantic or sophisticated atmosphere. By selecting the right music, restaurants can create an environment that complements the decor and overall dining experience they want to provide.

In conclusion, playing different music every day in a restaurant is good for a variety of reasons. It creates a dynamic environment that keeps customers engaged and interested, it can have a positive impact on a customer's mood, it can influence a customer's perception of food and drink, and it can create a sense of ambiance and atmosphere. All of these factors contribute to a more enjoyable and satisfying dining experience for customers, which can lead to increased sales and...

This is a special find in Toukley. It was recommended by a work colleague. We had the most amazing banquet for 18 people on a Saturday night. Let's start with the staff. They literally couldn't be more accomodating. Friendly and genuinely wanting to help you have a great experience in their restaurant. Our group had some late arrivals (over 30 minutes) and they were more than happy to start the banquet for the number of people at the table, then, when the rest arrived kick them off at that point. Talking about the banquet, they were quite happy for us to tweak the dishes for mains when we were organising the menu choices. The food itself was really well cooked and there was so much for the price you paid per head! (Our's was $30.90 per head but there were other banquet levels too) All the dishes were really flavourful and i especially love it when the vegetarian spring rolls and curry puffs aren't completely soaked in fat. It's a nod to the chef who knows how to properly fry the entrees. We really enjoyed our Saturday night banquet and the next time we are in the area, wouldn't hesitate to come back for...
