Curry On - Toukley — Restaurant in Toukley

Food was delicious and we were super excited to find such a huge vegan menu. Unfortunately the serving size was insanely small. We couldn't believe it when we got the delivery. I don't think I've ever been served such a small portion of food before, we ended up having to cook dinner afterwards.

Each dish came in the thinnest possible Chinese container and felt like only a few mouthfuls each, not what you want for $20, honestly even if they doubled the amount of food we received it would be on the smaller side compared to other restaurants.

Not sure why the portions were so small, but we spent over $100 and won't be returning unless we know the food has been at least doubled.

The owners were super friendly but unfortunately the food was not very good. I don't like leaving bad reviews so hopefully this can be constructive for the business. We ordered the paneer butter masala which just lacked any richness you normally have in a dish like this. The bean and potato dish was okay but also seemed to be missing something that would have made it a great dish. Not being an Indian food expert I can only say it needed something more. Overall flavour was a bit bland. Lastly, the naans we got were super dense and did not have much buttery garlic flavour. I might consider trying another dish but will likely go elsewhere for...

We have gotten food from Curry On several times since it's opened. A few times I have gotten there too early for my order to be ready so have sat down to wait. Unfortunately the hardest worker in the kitchen is the microwave which you can hear non stop until your order is ready. Naan's are also on the small side and suspiciously rubbery. Early on I could also see a worker or someone lying on a bed/lounge out the back that's visible from the front.
