We popped in to Melita for a casual lunch knowing from past experience with excellent breakfast sandwiches and coffee that we would be in for a home made treat prepared with skill and love. The food and the service have real heart just as you would hope for from a family run cafe. The sweet potato, carrot and cashew soup was divine - so flavourful, creamy and filling with very garlicky garlic toast. The pulled pork Reuben sandwich was huge and delicious, dripping with flavour and sensibly served with a knife and fork to make sure you can gobble up all the tasty goodness. Bring an empty stomach, the servings are generous and the taste is wonderful.

I've never walked out disappointed. From the great taste in background music, too the coffee made with love by Denis, too Eleni's warm smile every time she glides out of the kitchen...if driving through Queabeyan on a road trip or if you just want a change from your local cafe, then Melita Coffee Lounge is your next excuse for a good time out.

This place is sensational! I've mostly ordered coffee as I pass by, but most recently I dined in again and the food was brilliant. They cater for the gluten free crowd well, as the owner has a family member with gluten intolerance, so he gets it. Honestly, the best place in Queanbeyan for breakfast!

Came here with my wife for lunch and, while I'd like to see more on their menu, I couldn't fault this place. In a nice, cozy cafe with a homely feel, the food was delicious. From the freshness of the ingredients to the well balanced portions, it made for an outstanding lunch at a good price. Even though we arrived close to closing time after the lunch period, the staff were great and never made us feel rushed. If I could give a higher rating, this place definitely deserves it. If you're local or come through the area, make this place a priority to try and you won't regret it. Melita's, keep up...

It might appear like a regular run-of-the-mill coffee shop but the food, service and coffee were amazing. I can't recommend a visit to this family run cafe highly enough and I'm so glad we chose to breakfast here whilst travelling through the area. Mum and Dad were the chefs and their food was delicious. It was obvious it was made with so much love which is definitely the missing ingredient in a lot of eateries these days!! On a return visit the second day, the owner had even remembered all our drinks orders - now that's super impressive service. Thank you for your love and passion for...
