New Cathay Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in New South Wales

Extremely rude and uneducated staff. I was recommended the Satay by the staff, I asked them if their Satay was really peanuty or the curry type? Because I don’t like the curry type. She said it was Peanuty. Of course when I arrived home, it was full of curry and no peanuts, it wasn’t peanut flavoured at all. I rang them up to let them know and the girl argued with me saying “it’s 100% peanut!!” I couldn’t believe they would argue when I can see the curry, taste the curry it was curry. I then spoke to another girl who was as also rude and insisted I bring it back down so she could see and prove it was peanut satay. She then hung up on me. I was shocked at their terrible manner. So I took it back and they argued even more after I drove all the way back and showed them. The chef came out took one look at it and told the girls to refund my money as she knew it was full of curry. The whole incident could have been avoided if the staff knew more about their dishes, When I first ask, If they had said their Satay was the curry flavoured type. I would have chosen a different dish. Which was my point of asking in the first place. Silly girls. I’ll never go back! Dreadful customer service. I felt like I had to send it to a science lab to prove the level of curry in the dish because they were in such denial. Did I mention the spring rolls also contained curry. That’s the first time I’ve ever had spring rolls from a Chinese Restaurant that had curry in them. Weird! Oh they also didn’t give me a dipping sauce for the spring roll either. I don’t like to leave bad reviews but the girls need some customer service training and to learn more about their dishes so they don’t mislead their customers, lose customers and lose...

Living 40 mins out of town, and rarely buying take away, tonight we decided on chinese, and ordered take away, and was very disappointed, in both the food, and the customer service we received. For the second time in 6 months from this restaurant we didn't receive all our order, first time we didn't receive our honey sauce for the honey chicken, we rang to let them know and were told if we had specific ingredients we could 'just make it ourselves', tonight, again, we didn't receive part of our order, again my partner rang, not to complain, but just to let them know, and we were told by the 'lovely' lady on the phone 'perhaps we should just go elsewhere next time', WOW! Great customer service, but don't worry we will heed your advice and definitely go somewhere else next...

We had a very nice and long dinner in this Chinese restaurant which we can highly recommend to everyone who enjoys to have a large selection of different chinese and asian dishes with great taste.

The entry of a hot sauce was spicy but in a good way with lots of vegetables and other ingredients.

Satay chicken was very nicely mild yet tasty as well as deep fried duck in lemon sauce which is great for everyone enjoying that deeply sweet taste and sweet and sour pork was very nicely done aswell - the Szechuan dish was nice aswell - all dishes were very fresh.

The customer service was very good - They where friendly and happy to help with any problem.
