Been coming here for the past 3 days and have ordered the same meal each time. Every time I open my bag, I expect to find something missing or incorrect, and it is always the case. Food is pretty good, but the service, not so much. You can feel some sort of negativity and tension in the air... Customer service is not great, I don't think I've seen any staff member smile, say hello or make you feel welcome. And they definitely don't apologise for missing/incorrect items.
There I was, standing at the counter, patiently waiting for my order that was taking quite some time. A young girl said to me... "What are you waiting on"? I told her what my order was and she looked frazzled. Another girl said, "oh, this is yours here", and she grabbed a bag that had been sitting behind the counter for at least 5 minutes. Last time I checked.... I wasn't invisible... so I was baffled as to why nobody called my order or tried to unite me with my meal while I was standing there right in front of them. 🤷 Needless to say..... When I sat down to eat, I discovered that my meal, which had been held hostage behind the counter, was now somewhat cold. Despite this, I was hungry, so I was keen to eat.... WAIT.... oh... No spoon and napkins.... Back to the counter I go again while my meal gets a little colder 🤦
Don't expect napkins or a spoon for your mash n gravy because they are never supplied with your order. No soap in the soap dispenser in the bathroom for 3 days. 3 visits in a row and every time something was missing or incorrect. Disorganised chaos sadly. Pretty disappointing. If you can't put the basic, common sense items such as napkins and spoons in the bag, have them on your counter so your customers can help...
Read moreAfter getting charged twice via the online ordering system, the manager assured me this would be fixed. To date, it has not been fixed. In addition, after waiting 10 minutes I was finally advised it would be another 15 minutes because the fryer wasnt on. Disappointed by understandable. It took a further 30 minutes to receive our order, including the kids meals which were not dependant on the fryer. In addition, other customers came and went with the same food I was apparently waiting on. Asked multiple times only to be met with confusion by the clearly uninterested staff. After finally receiving the food, without a word of apology, when I said I would like to lodge a complaint, without so much of a sign of interes I was pointed to a QR code on the window and to do it that way. It has been 5 days and no response. I am NOT the kind of customer that gets upset over sub standard service but this was an absolute joke, and the lack of care given to resolve not only the issue but follow up on a complaint that was lodged in the manner I was advised, is downright pathetic. A shame, as I enjoy the food but cannot recommend this location. I am now resorting to a bank chargeback due to the lack of interest shown by the management of this restaurant in resolving the simplest of problems. edit: refund has arrived and was offered...
Read moreRed Rooster is a popular fast food chicken restaurant that has been around for many years. However, my recent visit was far from enjoyable.
The restaurant was extremely dirty, with food and trash on the floor. The tables were sticky and the chairs were covered in crumbs. The decor was outdated, and there was an unpleasant odor throughout.
The food was not much better. The chicken was dry and overcooked, and the sides were soggy and flavorless. The fries were greasy and tasted like they had been cooked in old oil. The staff was unhelpful and seemed more concerned with chatting amongst themselves than helping customers.
I was also disappointed by the prices. For the amount of food you get, the prices are too high. It is definitely not worth the cost.
Overall, my experience at Red Rooster was terrible. The food was not good, the service was poor, and the prices were expensive. I would definitely not recommend this...
