Went here for breakfast (second time here-same meal)

Staff were lovely and prompt, our meals came out quickly.

The view is lovely too, we sat outside.

I ordered the eggs Benny with bacon and mushies and a side of chilli oil. I was underwhelmed with the meal, toast was multi grain, one small piece. The hollandaise was the standard pre-made one we find at most Cafes and the bacon could've done with an extra minute on the grill. The chilli oil was awful though. Tastes like blitzed fresh pickled (not sure but I think I could taste vinegar maybe?) chilli that's been mixed with oil.

The friend ordered the big brekkie (I think that's what it's called) she said it was ok.

Coffees here were pretty standard too.

On the plus side, cakes look delicious and the staff and owner are accommodating, a very nice, relaxed atmosphere!

Fyi, last time I was here I had the same meal thinking perhaps it was just an off day... I have also previously tried the shakshuka (the baked eggs in tomato sauce someone else from our table had ordered) the sauce was bland and needed to be reduced for flavour.

Might try something...

Unfortunately we had a bad experience at this cafe this morning. I loved the views and atmosphere on previous visits but after today, I wouldn’t go again. There were 12 of us. They firstly brought out 1 bottle of water with no cups, so we chased that up. Then meals came scattered apart and with no cutlery. So we had to chase that up. We asked for a high chair again it didn’t come and had to chase that up. The worst was the drinks, firstly we waited a long time after food arrived , over half hour for them to come. Then two coffees didn’t arrive. We chased it up to find that they had given someone else our coffees. They said they would get them, after 15 minutes they still hadn’t came. We then chased them up and told they were in the line waiting. Well that was the final straw for me. If you make a mistake, fix it straight away don’t put them behind the other coffee orders, especially for a big group giving a lot of profit for the day. I wish they had provided some kind of discount but they didn’t. Very bad experience and won’t be back. Such a shame as the views are amazing and food...

WOW!! If the food isnt enough to impress you the views from the verandah will be! Stunning vista looking over the beach and headlands of Gerringong (my photo doesnt do it justice!) Very friendly staff, great service. My wife had one of the vegetarian options, cauliflower balls with a salad, impressive! She loved the attention that had obviously been put into the presentation. Loved the flavours and the variety, from watercress to beetroot relish. I had the pulled lamb burger, served on a beautiful milk bun (easily THE best bun for a burger!). To paraphrase a Pommie chef.. proper tasty! Had some fun with a thickshake as the caterer had delivered the wrong straws (very narrow!) so being an uber thick thickshake it took a mighty effort to get through it! If I had to nit pick Id suggest fresh mint chutney over mint jelly anyday (I make my own and its bloody superb!). Id highly recommend Sea Vista as a cafe and (if its open??) as a perfect sun-going-down...

New ownership has not changed the standard we are used to, excellent. Bacon is super thin and crispy. Cake is served with real cream, not under the counter spray can cream. The avo is lavish thank goodness. The poached eggs are perfectly medium. beautiful day with a great view and ☕ Sea Vista is our absolute favourite place in Gerringong 💚🎨🖌️🤠 Edited: had the classic burger 🍔 - took me back 30 years! Burgers were home-grown and so tasty, not that chemical aftertaste! Just great! Thank you! 👍 An awesome view. Excellent owner. Prompt staff. Incredible food. We particularly want to mention the 🥓 bacon - super thinly sliced and smoked just right. Reminded us of home - well done. I asked for my poached eggs medium (hate soft white and too soft yolk) they came perfect!!! Just loved them, still gooey in the centre. Thank you. Have taken out friends a few times and they all loved the experience.
