The Perfect Break Cafe — Restaurant in Gerringong

This use to be our go to place for coffee & food. Usually about 3-4 times a week for coffee but not anymore! Since the new Management has taken over its gone downhill! The coffee is awful! We are almond flat white people & i don't know what brand of almond milk they use now but it's terrible. You can't taste any coffee just a weird tasting milk! So disappointed. We kept going back as gave them time to settle in but it's gotten worse not better so we have finally given up & go elsewhere now. Also most of their "good" employees have gone. Especially Andy! He was a wizz with the coffee! So good! And very friendly They also get the orders mixed up. We saw it happening as we sat there sipping our terrible coffee. They also advertise the "wood fire inside" but mostly it's not on or working properly. Their water station has changed also & now has paper cups & a water jug. No cups & water bottles as before. Not sure what they r trying to do? Save money maybe? But it's definitely not working. Very sad as this cafe is a local institution that's been there for years. This place used to be good but is all gone bad over priced and not respecting customers needs aslo 8$ for a slice of bread is a disgrace plus we ordered coffees 3, two of hem were ok but the last. One was awful it was made without coffe we ddi not taste any coffee in it, W asked for vegan sour cream for our veges we were served with nornal cow mil based sour cream what about if someone is allerhic to milk!!!? This plant-based café has left the best impressions!!! The owners are incredibly friendly and go out of their way for you to have the best experience. We were staying the area for a few days and had to keep going back, the food was delicious. Fresh, beautiful flavours, large portions and it was obvious the owners had a great deal of experience in developing and serving plant-based meals that are full of flavour. My husband is not plant based and he was blown away by the meals. Each meal was mouth-watering, coffee and chai are excellent and the desserts WOW.
