Brilliant showing by The Welder's Dog (Tamworth). Passing through town one cold and rainy weekend, plenty of time in hand and nothing much to do with it, I found Tamworth ill-served by its pubs and bars except for this little gem. Great staff - so friendly, so helpful. Good beers. A fine local guitar player. Just the right vibe of cosy, comfortable and correct. Tamworth locals will surely have their secret favourite bars, but if you're just passing through then I'd stop here first and figure it out from there.

The venue is small and intimate giving it a speakeasy type feel, with an ever changing craft beer selection and a massive catalogue of top shelf spirits.
