Bay of India — Restaurant in Newcastle-Maitland

Whilst our food was great I have concerns of comment made by management (or management friends) to a young female worker. As a young female myself I understand that most ‘compliments’ made in a work place by an older man especially in management can make you feel extremely uncomfortable. Now I’m clearly not speaking on behalf of the young girl working as I do not know how she feels about this but I know I would personally feel uncomfortable. This man asked the girl why she was fanning her face ( a normal, innocent thing to ask, she was hot)but then he said “you still look gorgeous under them lights” now this may not seem like an offensive statement to some but this can be very difficult to deal with as a young female. Mind you this was said in front of all the people in the store. The man then turned to who I believe is the manager and said “but no, she really does look good”. Whilst the manager said nothing, clearly thinking nothing of it. This is not ok, like I have said before, it may not be a big deal to some or even the young girl working but I know, myself, as a customer felt very creeped out and uncomfortable on the girls behalf.

Please fix this....

My husband popped down to Bay of India late yesterday afternoon to purchase our dinner takeaway pick up - I wasn't sure what to expect not having tried Bay of India before.

Let me reassure you! You won't be disappointed! Our dinner was delicious and the most amazing Indian food we have ever eaten 😊👍 We each had the 3 meat curries with rice, the garlic and cheese naan and pappadums. (We had the below 3 meat curries with rice x 2 traditional butter chicken, madras beef and beef vindaloo. We also had lamb rogan Josh, mango chicken and lamb Korma).

All had beautiful vibrant colour and flavour and they weren't heavy meals - it was soo good it left you wanting more!

I have been a regular customer of Bay of India for many years without complaint. Tonight I ordered a home delivery meal from them. Such was left outside my locked security door without THEIR Menulog delivery person letting me know that such had been delivered. Such was discovered by me a hour after ordering early in the evening. The meal was ruined (cold/inedible)as a result of the above. After phoning the Manager of Bay of India regarding the above, I was told it's not his problem, and to contact Menulog, which I am not prepared to do. Accordingly, I strongly recommend that anyone who has a sense of both fairness & justice boycotts purchasing any food from these obviously corrupt,...
