Fifi's Take Away — Restaurant in Newcastle-Maitland

At first someone ordered fish and chips for me. They were delicious the fish were crispy, the chips they generously salted with chicken salt and it came with 2 complementary lemon slices, then i found out that it was from fifis take away. I loved the fish and chips so much the next time i got paid i ordered the exact same thing. It was okay but this chips were soggy. And NOW i thought would order the same thing again. Bad mistake. When i placed the order it was 11:00 and when i finally got the food it was 12:40 when i initially ate some of the chips i found out that the chips were soggy, under cooked and even though i specifically asked for extra chicken salt there was basically no chicken salt on the chips or the fish. There was no lemon slices and when i ordered the potato scallop it was so bad that when i first had a bite of it i was contemplating whether or not i eat the rest of it or to just throw it out. This was a complete and total disappointment. And this is the last time im ever ordering from fifis...

This place has such a nice lady who thrives on making her customers happy expressing kindness in ways you don’t see much around anymore.

I mentioned I was dairy free and she did everything perfect, she made sure I was ok with the other ingredients provided.

The food is where it hits the spot. There are other places where the food makes you feel bloated but I never felt that once here.

I had the pork and gravy roll and a sliced chicken salad wrap aswell as a mango smoothie

I’ve only recently become a customer at FiFi’s Takeaway. I have met both staff/cooks and been treated like a human being. If not flat out they take the time to get to know their customers and as soon as you enter the shop you are greeted with kindness and welcome comfort. Great friendly old school fish n chip service that we very rarely find these days. The food is tasty, smells great and cooked to the best quality with the integrity that all people should receive every where they choose to buy their food or do any type of shopping. With real down to earth normal person to person interaction and not technology. My favourite takeaway...
