Really bad customer delivery experience, so we ordered 3 dishes and a drink, only one dish plus a drink came, so we called the restaurant, we understand mistakes can sometimes be made, no big deal just make it right, this is our first order...so the representative has apologised and said "it's all ready we'll deliver the rest of your dishes within 20 mins" so 20 mins later, no delivery...45 mins later still, not a food in sight! So we called back, representative passed the call to the manager, we politely explained the issue...again, she then proceeded by repeatedly asked us of our contact number again and again, by this time all we request of her is to let us know if our order is still coming or not, she then said "it's on its way" so 10 mins later it finally arrived, dumpling was already hard without any dipping sauce, and the tendon soup is not a tendon soup! So it's not even the fact that they stuffed up the order the first time around, the reason for our last call to this restaurant is to give them our feedback as a paying customer, and to let them know that they got the wrong soup delivered, manager was apologetic again and said "we actually don't have the tendon soup in our menu..." so we replied, why do you have it listed in your order form if it's no longer being offered? I kind of feel sorry for her, as her only way of replying was a faint laugh as if to say "I don't know the answer to that question either". The food is nice nonetheless, so this review would probably not persuade many customers to think about the kind of service, but for us, it's NOT worth the hassle and would surely won't be a second order to this...
Read moreDespite being open for more than a year, this establishment hasn't discovered the basics of customer service or how to operate an efficiently run business. It cannot restaurant. Let me elaborate. Menu needs a complete overhaul. Options are extremely confusing. Soy milk on the menu is in fact peanut milk, as printed on the bottle. The picture menu doesn't correspond to the printed one, such that one may get extra charges by accident. Also, if you have a peanut allergy, don't go for the soy. Don't expect a glass let alone ice for your drink. Also, white peas is the apparent name for chickpeas in this place. Terribad service. Refer to points below. 2a. Got my order served to someone else. Sat there in front of him for a few minutes only for waiter to come back later and pick up plate, plonking it in front of me with no apology. There was a questionable dent in the pile of rice. This dish was the main dish. Ordered appetizer is nowhere in sight. 2b. Only when my main was finished, and by this time appetizer had also been eaten, did the second main arrive. My partner was having her main alone pretty much. 2c. To add icing to the cake, my partner was given the wrong main. 2d. Tableside cutlery et al were not available. Despite being 6pm, one had to roam to find a fork and mini-bowls for the soy sauce. No table service, one has to order and pay at the counter like a fast food joint. The taste of my fried rice was just bland. My partners noodles were bland. Both meals had small hairs in them.
Whilst affordable, I cannot recommend this establishment. Hamos, just up the road gives a much better experience for the same...
Read moreLet me just put to rest some of the misleading reviews here:
Cold dishes - it clearly states on the menu if the dishes are cold...maybe read the menu properly people. Spice level - it clearly indicates the spice level on the menu through the use of chillis, eg. 3 chilli icons are very spicy. No descriptions - there is a book menu with a picture of EVERY SINGLE dish. Service - the staff are extremely friendly and while you may not have your order taken at the table, you are given menus, given water and clearly told when ready to order please come to the counter. No flavour - the meals have a great amount of flavour and soups are always hot. High price - again, totally incorrect. The prices are extremely reasonable and quite cheap for the quality and quantity of food. The dearest meal doesn't hit $20.
Now while restaurants do make mistakes, you are not entitled to a refund for every single mistake and it is highly unecessary to bad mouth a new restaurant for this and to add, it is difficult to know the quantity of ingredients needed when you are just starting out. Now onto a foodie for life's review below!
Naka Noodle is a great new place to go in good ol' Newy for a flavoursome meal! Not only is the food exactly that; flavoursome, the staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is chilled out and stylish. Who doesn't love to have juicy flavourful filled pockets of mince wrapped in a perfect wonton and pan fried until golden and crispy?! Then, followed by a broth to die for whilst slurping up flavourful noodles! I can without a doubt say that I will be back again and again! I might...
