This was, without a doubt, the worst Chinese food we’ve ever had. Everything tasted like cheap, fake Chinese food. The spring rolls were just mushy meat, and the prawn cocktails we ordered were swapped for tiny seafood cocktails that were overly spicy and so small they wouldn’t even satisfy a bird. The chicken tasted like it came from a supermarket deli and was reheated, and the fried rice was the only thing that was remotely edible—though still far from good.
We spent $200 on this garbage, and it wasn’t even worth $20. We don’t mind paying for a quality meal, but this was an absolute rip-off. The only thing that went right was the Uber Eats delivery, which was fast and professional, but that has nothing to do with the appalling food quality.
If you’re looking for a decent meal, look elsewhere. This was a complete...
Read moreVery disappointing experience overall. We only went to Peacock Palace as our usual restaurant was booked out. It was a Saturday night but Peacock Palace was almost empty- which we should have taken as a sign that the place was not great but unfortunately we decided to give it a try anyway. The waitress was disinterested, slow, and inattentive despite the lack of patrons. Three separate meals were ordered and they came out over about twenty minutes rather than all at once. We even had to check on the third meal since such a long time has passed waiting for it. The food was average at best including sweet and sour pork that tasted neither like sweet or sour and bland gluggy beef and black bean with poor quality meat. The best part of the meal was the...

It is hard to describe how bad. How do you stuff up Sweet Corn and Chicken soup, or San Choi Bow....well start with 2kg of salt in the soup, mouldy lettuce for the Bow, plus mince for the Bow that was about 2 years old.
Then came the really bad dish...Sweet and Sour Pork. Needed a carving knife to cut up the pieces of pork that was obviously very aged and dry. Taste was nothing like Sweet and Sour.
Only dish close to 5 out of 10 was Fried Rice...but even it was undercooked and over salted.
Wouldn't recommend this place to my...
