Thai Square — Restaurant in Newcastle-Maitland

After a bad experience last year, my wife and I thought we would give Thai Square Warner’s Bay another opportunity to impress. It has actually gotten worse. We called in as they were quiet and said the 2 of us would be back in half a hour. The young staff said no problem. We returned to find a few tables set for 6 left. We asked where we could sit and told over there at a table set for 6. After 10 minutes, no menu. We decided to collect a menu from another table. Whilst doing this an adjacent table we’re complaining where their food was to the young inexperienced staff. By the way, the young staff thought it was funny that the old couple were complaining. After reviewing the menu we waited for an additional 10 minutes for service. There wasn’t any so we got up and left. If you are the owner, you have a major problem. My husband and I were delightfully surprised at how amazing the food was. I have to say it's way better than some Thai restaurants you'll find in Sydney. To our surprise the young staff were fantastic, friendly and attentive to our needs. We were quite sceptical at first and hesitant to go in but the atmosphere looked right so we thought heck why not and we were truly surprised how the food & service was. Wonderful food. Staff were friendly and accommodating. I don't usually go for Thai food, but these guys do it well. Great local business - would've liked to have spent a NSW Dine voucher but wasn't able to - happily handed over money nonetheless. Takeaway was ordered on the spot, told 15 minutes.
