Schnitz Charlestown Square — Restaurant in Newcastle-Maitland

First timer to ordering Takeout from Schnitz.

Being a prime enjoyer of all things schnitzels myself and on a very bright sunny day out, figured I'd give this joint a go while in the area, I'm impressed for mostly the wrong reason with the food.

I ordered the chicken Schnitzel with chips (I believe it was $14) and I was hoping I'd get a decently sized schnitzel with a platter of chips of course.

Disappointed to find that you get charged a premium for a baby sized piece, I know photos don't always do it justice although you can see the schnitzel piece I received is no bigger than my fork.

I can't honestly complain about the customer service here which is why this is getting three stars instead of two, the usual friendly & approachable front counter staff, service was quick with my order being received under 5 minutes of ordering.

If you can actually take feedback onboard and understand customers would like a decent sized piece of chicken schnitzel for this rate their paying for then I'm more than happy to return and buy again. I sadly can't justify $14 for this, I've had...

Very dissatisfied with the service at the Charlestown store, ordered a combo,the guy then asked me what drink I wanted I said lemonade, when I went to pick up my meal I asked where my drink was the girl said oh it’s not a combo, I said the guy asked me what drink I wanted, he then came out and told me I never got a combo I said you asked me what drink I wanted he then proceeded to tell me what I paid for I said to him we why did you then ask me what drink I wanted he said oh I ask everyone that,which seemed weird. I persisted a little longer to no avail and him telling me he didn’t care I said where’s your manager he said I am I said that’s not real nice customer service he said again I don’t care. I got a little frustrated at the end and said something I shouldn’t have but he was so rude it upset me, this guy needs to go, I think it would have been okay had he admitted he stuffed up...

Ordered a simple wrap today from your store in the food court at Charlestown. A very polite young man took my order.l observed the young man punching in my order on the dirty screen, he still had his blue gloves on. I pulled him aside after he took the next customers order and said "excuse me would you mind removing those gloves and putting on a clean pair before you make my wrap".He politely removed them and threw them in the bin saying " l completely understand" The only problem was the young female had already made my wrap. My concern is that this is not hygienic ,touching a dirty screen wearing gloves and then preparing meals. Please educate your staff the correct and hygienic way to prepare food. *Put a clean pair of gloves on first *Prepare food *Disregard gloves before taking orders on the screen. Thankyou...
