EXTREMELY disappointed with our local pub. Came here on a Wednesday night to celebrate my boyfriends 22nd birthday. Waited at the “Please Wait to Be Seated” sign for 5 minutes with staff just refusing to approach us. Two girls behind the order counter just standing and talking to each other and the chef. Took 3 menus as one worker stood beside me and watched and went to an empty table with NO RESERVED sign present on the table. Sat down and each person decided what to order but was told on approaching the counter that they are completely booked out. WHY wait until this moment to inform us??? Never had such a poor experience from this place but have lost LOTS of respect because of this. Completely understand if it’s busy and you’re booked out but let us know when you first see us. The fact there were “no available tables” is Interesting considering it would let me book online prior to arriving but rather than paying the $100 booking fee decided just to rock up since it’s only around the corner from us. I ordered the Malbec from the wine list and it was one of the worst I’ve ever tried, very light bodied and a slight orange tint in the hue of the wine at its edges. Would definitely recommend that you swap this wine out.

Ordered the blue eye cod special and it was cooked really well. Cooked right through and moist, shame the chef forgot the seasoning. The corn fritters were very bland, not sure if corn was minced through the moisture but there were kernels which didn’t have any sweetness. They were also slightly wet in the centre, would recommend you flatten rather ball to get some of the moisture out. The chorizo in the dish were very plain, there are so,e great chorizo suppliers with great flavours. Didn’t understand why the beetroot mash was on the dish, didn’t mix well with the other ingredients and was trying too many flavours in the one dish.

Lastly, when washing your dishes, give the underside a good scrub as there were bits of food...

May I just say OMG. What a great place. Our first time here, and we all absolutely loved the place. Spacious outdoors area and eating areas were fantastic. Can I first just thank the service from the lovely young lady who served us? Thank you very much. You have a wonderful service, Aura.

The food , OMG, I can not say enough about all the food we were served. The best and biggest garlic bread entree ever I have had in any hotel or restaurant I have been in. 1000% the best. This is a must try, guys.

May I just say the lunchtime meals were fantastic, outstanding, and bloody huge. Absolutely delicious and cooked to everyone's liking.

I even had a really great beginners luck in the pokies , which also made this experience great. Myself and everyone are certainly coming back for their dinner.
