I come here quite often , the coffee is nice and one of the staff members I know quite well and heâs lovely What I donât appreciate is that the owner had to say ehh why do they all show up now they know we shut at 1, i understand that it can be stressful when people show up at closing but saying that at the back of the store amongst your staff . Everyone can still hear you itâs really rude , you could have said it in a nicer way, remind people you shut at that time and that we canât make coffee because our machine is off ect . I think you need to be more grateful that people are supporting your business so many cafes/shops at this time have had to shut their doors because of little to no business during this hard time during Covid . Just a note The manager and I spoke ,about what had happened I think itâs better to discuss any miss understandings that you have I am happy that I spoke to him and i have a better understanding of what had gone on that day And the pressures that can occur at this time during Covid and running a small business I also appreciate the manager coming to speak to me Love Praise Joe , there coffee and...
Read moreOverall this cute little hole in the wall cafe ticks a lot of boxes. Good selection of sweet treats and from what Iâve read, the toasties are worth a try. Coffee is great, service from the young staff is lovely, however it is pricey.
Today, Easter Monday, I took my keep cup to order a soy latte and was charged $8. A large coffee is advertised at $6, and with the PH surcharge of 15%, this should have equated to $6.90. On their menu there is no mention of being charged extra for plant based milk.
After I paid and did the math, I asked the young lady who served me why it cost so much. She replied with the surcharge, I did factor that in and said âyes, 15% of $6 is not $2â she replied with the soy milk being extra. This is not listed on the board. I looked to who I assumed was the manager and asked him âare you the manager sir?â He said yes. I informed it was against Australian legislation and was met with a shrug really. Then a super sweet âhave a great dayâ when he handed me my coffee.

Read moreAvoid this cafĂ© if you donât want to eat with dogs inside. For those who do, itâs a terrific cafĂ© as the owner is either ignorant of the health standards or simply chooses to disregard them. What people do in their own home is their business but in public, not everyone wants to have breakfast with a strangers dog only an arms length away. We like dogs, we just donât want to eat with them and the cafe does not indicate they are 'dog friendly'. The group who walked in with their dog did ask the owner first but the owner didn't bother asking us if it was ok. Given the cafe is so small, that would have been the courteous thing to do and would have avoided an unpleasant situation. Regardless of personal views, the law is quite clear that no dogs (registered assistance dogs excluded) or other animals are permitted inside a cafĂ©, restaurant or anywhere where food is being prepared, served or sold. Itâs that simple. Please note that this 1 star review is because of the doggy issue and does not reflect other aspects...
