quite disappointed, came on 30th December which I called ahead and asked what time they would be open til incase they were closed due to public holiday and girl on the phone said 6pm. Arrived to thirsty monkey at 4pm and it was all closed and packed up, two girls and a guy that had the thirsty monkey uniforms on were mucking around infront of the shop taking videos of eachother and running around the store making a bit of a scene. Looks like they closed the shop earlier to avoid staying back until closing. I called Charlestown’s thirsty monkey number again and seems like the girl isn’t even from the location as she said ‘yes we’re open here until 6pm’ and was stunned and didn’t know how to respond when I said I was out front and it was packed up and closed. Really disappointed as I wouldn’t of attempted the drive to Charlestown as im 25 minutes away, after being told the store would close at 6pm but when arriving at 4pm to see it fully shut was very disappointing. No signs left on the place or anything. A few other people came after me to check out the place and wasn’t pleased to see the place was closed earlier than what it indicated. They all checked google and thought that the store closed at 10pm which is why they also had driven a way to try this establishment. Don’t think I’ll be returning back as staff and opening hours are unreliable, unfortunately i have passed this on to local groups and friends/family. Disappointing seeing as this is a new store....
Read moreCalled ahead and asked what time they closed which they let me know it was 6pm, we had showed up at 4pm and it was all cleared out and closed, only people left we’re two girls and a guy in the thirsty monkey uniforms mucking around infront of the store. We had called the Charlestown number again and confirmed over the phone if we were speaking with the Charlestown location and if we could have the opening hours for the Charlestown location specifically and she said charlestown location was open until 6pm. We’re about 25 minutes away from Charlestown and looked forward to trying this establishment as we have heard good açai reviews but just disappointed to be told misinformation and to waste our times travelling here. We noticed a few groups of people who had also just arrived a bit disappointed seeing thirsty monkey was closed, some had checked google but few had also called ahead to check trading hours for the Charlestown location. We hope that this establishment could be a bit more open to more communication and possibly have a number that only corresponds with the Charlestown location. A bit confusing that you only have a single number that isn’t located near Charlestown, which is even more difficult if people have enquiries regarding a...
