Mardy's Cafe — Restaurant in Northern Territory

After being served by a very nice lady i waited for my takeaway sandwich not toasted. I watched the lady preparing my sandwich on a wrap while chatting to her wrist phone. The girl who served me went and looked at her a couple of times but she ignored her and continued chatting on the phone. I watched and while she chatted the flys land on the wrap and thought I hope that isn’t mine. Finally she finished her phone call. Rolled up the wrap put it into the toaster when she was finally intercepted and told it was a sandwich not a wrap. At this point she got out the bread and proceeded to transfer with bare hands the contents of the half toasted wrap onto the bread. What a shame. I have used this cafe before without incident. This is my favourite go to cafe, my husband and I generally order the same things, the toasties and muffins are great, as has been most of the food we order.. the owner is a lovely man and greets you, he loves chatting to his customers. However we do notice a drop in customer service when he is not in attendance. There is one particular server that is rather rude. Just recently all the tables were full and they had closed off the side area, i asked if we could sit there and was told no due to them mopping floors for closing. This of course is perfectly acceptable, however when you have 2.5 hours left until closing, its a bit much. So unfortunately they didn’t receive our custom that day. I'm so unimpressed. I came in today and asked for a decaf coffee. I enjoy the 'event' of coffee but can't handle the caffeine. I saw the girl making the coffee put in normal grind so said again "decaf please". The girl taking the order said "yeah yeah" and carried on. They spoke to each other and looked at me then carried on. When she handed it to me I said again was it decaf and she smiled and said have a nice day. Thinking after all this they must have got the message I said thanks and walked off. Now I'm certain it was normal coffee. It makes me feel incredibly anxious and unwell. Feeling like rubbish now,...
