Look, they install an aircon or two. We went on a hot night in summer and their chairs and the sticky in heat kind. We didn’t think that they knew we existed as we had to go down to ask for cutlery on one occasion, then back down to ask for menus on another, then again to ask them to come take our order. One other waitress looked like she was going to have a panic attack - to be fair, it was hot and the other workers were nice to her. I only went here after reading many great reviews and I'm glad I did. I order take away almost every time I stay in Portarlington. Their take away lunch menu is well priced and taste delicious. I get the beef and black bean and chicken satay and they both taste great as they're freshly made. I think the interior and exterior could do with an update/some fresh paint to make the place look more appealing. This place is a rarity, a no frills, freindly small town Chinese restaurant that is pleasing on so many levels. The dim sims, fried wontons and chicken and sweet corn soup is home made with love, and you can taste the effort and experience put in from the kitchen. The mains are fresh with crisp veggies and tender meat, and the sauces were well balanced. Good quality, satisfying aussie-Chinese.
