I had the pleasure of eating at the Pier Front Pizzeria last night (Tuesday 09/05/2023). We had a booking and we we're met by the head waitress who showed us to our table and made us feel most welcome. She also served us. I can't remember her name but she was a lovely Italian lady and at that stage I knew it was going to be a very pleasant meal. All the waitresses where very nice ladys. It was parma night which came with a Perrino beer and we all opted for that as well as a side. There was 4 types of traditional parmas to choose from including a truffle style parma. We all opted for the different types and we all agreed it was absolutely delicious. The parmas where huge to say the least. Most of us literally couldn't finish because of the size of the meal. That said they didn't skimp on the quality and presentation at all. At one stage I looked around and noticed everyone had a smile on their face and thoroughly enjoying themselves. That speaks volumes to the quality of food, service and atmosphere. I also noticed customs getting doggy bags. The food was that good and the meals that large they couldn't finish and just couldn't stand to waist such beautiful food lol. I thought it was really nice of the restaurant to provid containers for this. The restaurant was fully booked on a Tuesday night in the off season. That says a lot about the food and ambience. I recommend booking ahead. This is a true old fashioned Italian restaurant that uses traditional recipes and ingredients. All the meals looked beautiful and it was a difficult choice. They do take away pizza and I imagine what's on the menu can be taken away. I can not fault this place and I can go on to add it was the best Italian food I've eaten. I will definitely be visiting again. Its awesome genuine Italian food for a very reasonable price. It's suitable for all demographics including a romantic meal. Its a no brainer 5 out of 5 in...
Read moreWe went with no booking with 2 kids. They were in a rush and they almost did not stop to talk to us.
They offered us a table in the terrace which was okay but was separated (we asked the table next to us that arrived just 2 min earlier if they mind to change the table so we can be together).
Once we sit, after 10 min the waitress came and say “you have to order by the QR code because it’s faster it’s just 2 of us tonight”. She did not even explain how to order or anything.
At this point, they don’t even offer the child chair for our kids. And when we came to ask something they were a bit rude (because they were in a rush).
We order from the table. Food arrive first than the drinks and we we were waiting for around 15-20 min for one chicken Parma, mussels and bolognese for a kid. (The rest we had it in the table). Service was rough and rude.
Pasta was average, a bit overcooked for me. Pizzas were spot on. Pepperoni it’s a bit spicy...
Read moreUpon first arriving the place looks incredibly small, however it has a fantastic outdoor area. It could be an incredible place even through all the elements however heaters had not been switch on upon request leaving it cold and damp given the weather. Service was slow and lacking. It reduced our drinks requests and many of us had hoped to order extra drinks during our meal but the chance was never really given. Our pasta dishes came out long before the pizza. We originally planned to wait and eat as a group but it became very obvious we'd be eating cold dishes. While the food was fantastic these few things reflected poorly on our overall experience. I certainly hope to visit again in the future and that with restrictions easing service and food delivery will have...
