Got to Andy’s at 6.45pm ish and ordered $8 chips cheese and gravy and chicken salt and a battered seafood stick for my son and I. Then we waited and waited. And waited. While our order wasn’t anything exciting by any means you still expect it to be delicious and to you in a timely fashion. Having worked in hospitality for many years I understand the ins and outs. And I’m always very fair in my judgment. At almost an hours wait I sent my son back in again (we had both gone in a few times at this point) to find out why it was taking so long. Especially seeming it was not busy when we ordered. My son was told there had been a mix up with out order. So I went in to ask and was then handed our order. We were both way over being hungry by that point but decided to eat immediately as we walked home. Firstly, the serve was so small. For $8 I expected it to be more than enough for us. Secondly when I picked up a chip I knew they weren’t fresh. They were almost cold and only warm where the gravy touched them. Secondly they tasted old. And there was no chicken salt. Not even plain. Then the seafood stick was crumbed. I considered walking back in but we had already waited so long and by that stage both my son and I just wanted to get home. So I tried to call the shop and got the , answering machine. I waited a bit and same again. While I understand you can wait when it’s super busy etc for an order at any takeaway food place, I’d expect the order to still be fresh. It was like they had taken chips from and order that had sat in the hot box and thrown gravy on top. This is not the first time we have had issues here. And because of it we very rarely get anything from there. Unfortunately tonight we decided to take a chance in hopes on getting a great order. Sadly we were left unhappy and me cranky I’d once again waisted my time and money.

I don't like to give negative reviews. However, it was a very awkward experience on a Monday night trip for fish and chips. It appeared to be mum and son under a lot of pressure and the tension was on display for all the waiting and potential customers. The looks on waiting customers faces while waiting for their order were priceless. One gentleman said to me he had been waiting for over half an hour. While another couple of customers walked out. My daughter swears she heard the angry young man use the C bomb while answering the phone. While waiting for our food, another gentleman and young girl appeared to help with the food orders. Making things run somewhat smoother. On getting back to our van with our order, we were surprised to see we did not receive our potato scallops. However, the rest of the food was better than expected.

Worst value for money imaginable - steer clear if you don't want to waste your money and time. Ordered Wrap online, see if you can see the difference between the advertised photo and the reality - there wasn't even any sauce hiding in it. Ordered Whiting and no joke the piece would've struggled to be 20grams.

Always loved this place... but after lunch today, I will never eat there again sub par steak sandwich, burnt toast with only a tiny bit of stringy steak fat in it, soggy (tiny) serve of chips and a disgusting mannered, foul attitude, pink haired thing with a bull ring in its nose muttered under its breath and refuse to help me when I asked for a menu. Much better options literally across or down the road. DONT WASTE UR MONEY Potential...
