Bountiful Thai Restaurant — Restaurant in Queensland

Well, really nothing inspiring; the fried rice was a plate of a claggy white substance at the latter stages of any definitive recognition, barely restaurant quality; the curry was stewed chunks of beef swimming in brown tasteless flavoured water, which wasn't even close to restaurant quality; but the entree was the standout .. the 4 mixed item entree was ordered, the satay chicken texture I'd liken to a little battered dagwood dog (with lashings of canned peanut sauce), the spring roll was indeed a spring roll, but the best of all was the fishcake .. because there was none .. they presented as a substitute a 2nd curry puff, with no mention as to why they'd come in a pair. I later overheard a conversation with another customer that they were out of fishcakes. I think at the time of our ordering was the most appropriate time for the fishcake deficiency disclosure. $47 (included a bottle of water, which was fine) is quite a bit to pay for a very below...

We introduced ourselves saying we were new to their restaurant and we ordered paw paw salad , fish with tamarind sauce , fish was not a whole fish which was fine however the fish was what let the dish down!!! Unknown fish !!! But yuk!!!!! was also looking for that sour tang of the tamarind , we were very disappointed , I ordered the signature dish a Thai chicken green curry !!! Well devesated was what I tasted no spice kick, chicken was paper thin and no egg plant no thai basil , fish cakes were the only saviour of grace to the evening as they where from a packet !!! This place is the WORST example of INAUTHENTIC Thai food and frankly Townsville you truly deserve better. Even from a cheap eats food service - which this place doesn’t qualify. The over-the-top, excessively noisy wok from the kitchen added nothing to the Thai vibe when the dishes,one after another came out watered down and tasteless. It was a case of hot water, stir in a spoonful of (tiny here let’s not go overboard) Thai flavour paste from a jar and chuck in any damn veggies and protein of choice. Wow. Really.
