Hello brumby’s manager, Today me and my friend went to Brumby’s and one of the young tall slim Australian lady with a ponytail hairstyle, makeup worn with possible lip enhancement done (my heartfelt Apologies, I don’t know her name) in the customer service was impatient to wait for my order and was visibly upset when serving me. I think this lady needs an education on how to behave with culturally diverse people. There might be some delays to choose Australian foods for them and the way they interact. However Iam 💯 sure that I was calm and polite in my interaction. Australia is everyone’s country, so she need to learn to respect people regardless of skin and race. If she is impatient to wait for the order especially if there is no one in the queue, she is not a good candidate for customer service. I love all your food by the way and this incident would not stop me from accessing ur services. But I think this person should be told off regarding this. On the contrary, I have seen she interacting very well with Australian customers too. This is the second time I noticed this racist behaviour from her however, first time I ignored that and now I think I need to escalate to you as everyone has right to speak up and deserve...
Read moreIt's getting harder and harder to find a bakery that sells decent food here in Toowoomba. It's obvious (to me anyway) that a lot of bakeries here are selling yesterdays products: for example, apple turnovers with soggy pastry and cream that tastes old, and stale tasting long cream donuts that are so dry they stick in your throat. No-one seems to be able to make nice breadrolls in this town either - they're nearly always a pale, undercooked, doughy and tasteless affair.
I can highly recommend the Brumby's store at Westridge though. I've discovered that THIS bakery consistently sells delicious and fresh products. Their breadrolls are always spot on - tasty and cooked to perfection. Their cakes and slices never disappoint either. My tastebuds know when something is fresh....and I've never, ever received 'yesterdays' products from the Westridge Brumby's store. Yes, the service can a bit slow at times, but the trade off is quality products, so I can live...
Read moreWe bought two pies and two apple turnovers from Brumby's Westridge yesterday. We couldn't see any mushrooms in the beef and mushroom pie, and the filling in the curried chicken pie was a weird pale yellow colour. This 'curry sauce' was so thick and so gluggy it almost resembled glue, and the pie contained only 3 tiny pieces of dry, overcooked chicken. Both pies were bland and very disappointing.
The biggest disappointment however, was the burnt bottoms on both apple turnovers (see pic). They were dreadful because all we could taste was burnt pastry. There's no way that the person who made these turnovers didn't know the bottoms were burnt!😠 Sadly it seems that knowing and caring are two different things these days.
We paid nearly $25 for what we consider to be poor quality food and we won't be going back to...
