Just a cafe — Restaurant in Queensland

The least I expected was to have itemized receipts of what I paid for. When I asked for the receipt, the manager came and spoke loudly at my table, embarrassing me in front of other customers. Her reply to the review before mine tells me what I need to know about her customer service skills.

I didn’t order incorrectly. I ordered three meals and also asked for three almond lattes. You misheard me and thought I wanted only one. When only one latte came to the table, I approached the cashier and politely asked for the other two lattes. Then you said I only ordered one and that I was charged for only one. At that point, I asked for a receipt of what I paid for (I think that is fair). You didn’t like it and got annoyed. Two minutes later, you came to my table holding the handwritten order to show me that I only ordered one latte. You were loud and a bit rude, which attracted the attention of surrounding customers.

I was going to let it slide, but when I read your reply to the previous review, I decided to give my feedback as well.

I gave you four stars for the food because I liked it. It wasn’t exceptional; that’s why I didn’t give five stars. As for the customer service, you only got one star.

I think the true narcissist here is you, as you don’t accept fair criticism.

At this point, I believe you're beyond help, and the feedback is for other customers...

Worst service in town.. the food took a long time to arrive.. Do NOT go there if you have kids..

We were lied to about the urgency of other families waiting for tables and made to leave just because my daughter laughed loudly for about 2 minutes, during which time the 2 staff (one of them the owner) gave us the death stare. We didn't leave a mess. She didn't harass other customers or do anything out of the ordinary. We were even sat at a table in an alley away from the main part or the Cafe where all the other tables are.

Definitely not a friendly place for families :(

I was there with my 2 year old who has a feeding aversion, so eating is difficult for her and usually takes a long time and lots of efforts, so I chose this place because they had plenty of spare tables. But while I was finishing my daughter's left over, she sat on my lap and tingled me, so I of course tickle her back - causing her to laugh loudly in joy, nothing crazy or louder than what any toddler would do. The owner and another staff were giving my 2 year old hateful looks the whole 2 minutes. Then as soon as I finished the last bite of food, they told us they needed the table as "many families" were waiting. I left straight away, only to see that there was no one waiting and there were two other...

Absolutely would not recommend. Ordered a skinny iced latte. When it arrived, the server looked concerned and said it had cream in it. I pointed out that I'd asked for a skinny latte, due to needing to be on a low fat diet. They took it away to remake. Shortly after, another member of staff brought the same drink back and said it was just how the milk was. I tasted the drink, which tasted off and took it back to the counter, asking them to remake it as a hot latte, (didn't say so, but had little confidence in them making a replacement iced latte correctly). The second member of staff came back and was rude and abrupt, saying there was nothing wrong with the drink and that I would have to pay for a replacement.
