We stopped here for a quick lunch while on a day out in Mount Tamborine. There was a limit of 3 people at a time in the shop due to COVID restrictions which was fine, but when we were able to enter the shop the lady behind the counter was very rude and rushed us to make up our minds and get out. We had barely been in the shop had 20 seconds before she rudely asked if we had made up our minds yet! When we asked what pies were left, as they had no labels on them, she rolled her eyes at the other lady who was working behind the counter and sighed before telling us the options. We did not at all feel welcome in this bakery, it felt like serving customers was too much of an effort for her.

If you are going to put restrictions on the number of people in the shop at a time and then get frustrated if they take a few seconds to look at what food is on offer, perhaps have a menu outside the shop that people can look at and decide what they want while they are waiting to enter the store.

We ended up getting 2 pies and a sausage roll which were ok but nothing fantastic. The rude customer service definitely spoiled the whole experience. At a time when a lot of small businesses are struggling, I think most places would be happy to have customers visiting again but clearly not this bakery, you are more of an inconvenience to them than a paying customer. My advice would be choose one of the many other food options when visiting Mount Tamborine, I’m sure they’ll be happy to have...

Agree with the other reviewer here about the rude staff. Such a shame. My wife and I came to this bakery when we were up on Mt Tamborine to celebrate our first anniversary. We bought some of their baked goods as a treat and enjoyed them so much that we decided to visit again this year when we were up on Mt Tamborine again. The bakery has a very large range and it's often difficult to decide what you want to buy, so we'd been looking at everything in the cabinet to make a decision. The lady behind the counter asked if we were ready to order and my wife said we were still deciding. The lady behind the counter then rolled her eyes at us. We aren't locals, we don't come here every day and know exactly what we want as soon as we come in the door. She should be pleased that the bakery has a such a range. It's not nice to feel rushed or be made to feel like you're inconveniencing the staff by being a patron. If she doesn't like working there, she should go and do something else with her life. A thoroughly disappointing experience. There are plenty of other nice places to eat on Mt Tamborine where the service is wonderful. We won't return to this...

I've been there a handful of times now and every visit I'm left feeling deflated and totally blown away at the sheer lack of "customer service". Clearly the lady who works their with the curly hair just hates her job as a baker! What a grumpy, arrogant and rude human being. Yes I want my bread sliced, yes I want more of those rolls you only have 5 of, Yes I want a bag for the 5 items I just purchased and NO I won't be comming back to your disgraceful establishment. You clearly need a holiday and about 2 weeks sleep. Take some advice and remove your disgusting attitude and deminer from your work place and start respecting your customers....We have found another local baker thank goodness and will start making our own products rather than supporting someone who clearly could not give 2 craps about themselves or the beautiful people of the mountain that grace your shop. You've inspired me to make everything from...

Visited this bakery a few weeks ago and noticed the carrot cake displayed in the fridge. We have always been reluctant to buy as others we’ve bought have not been great and always end up in the bins. The baker told us that his carrot cakes were the best. We decided to try it and some Apple danish. Wow this is now our “Go 2” bakery. Today we drove back up the mountain again to purchase a carrot cake only to find they had nothing displayed in the fridge. We told them we only came up the mountain for his amazing carrot cake. They went over and beyond and put one together for us. This is by far the BEST CARROT CAKES on the entire GC , you need to try them and we will most definitely be back again and again and your danish pastries are also divine we must say. Friendly and amazing staff as well. Keep up the good work.

Tucked in behind a footpath hedge is this not to be missed Bakery. Takeaways only & no coffee etc. But choices certainly make up for it. I found it hard to choose but eventually got a tray full. The staff were very helpful and friendly & neatly placed my order into a cardboard tray. The prices are very reasonable. I can definitely recommend a stop here when visiting Tamborine. We will certainly come back again. Street parking can be a bit limited.

I bought a chunky steak pie and an apple danish at this lovely little local bakery. I was informed that the pie was a mixture of chunky steak and mince, an honest appraisal which I commend the gentleman on. The pastry was gorgeous and flaky. A little bit more chunky steak would have been better, however, it was still an enjoyable pie. The apple danish was lovely and sweet with golden brown pastry. Well worth the visit!
