Not the best restaurant to taste if you're looking for authentic south indian restaurant. Below average food, Took too long to serve, 2 families ordered food - first one ordered online and second 1 at the counter as the family didn't want to share tjeir personal details. All of the second order came first despite stating in the first online order to serve whenever the food was cooked. One of our orders didn't arrive for 90 mins until we had to remind them 3 times. Masala Dosa - wasn't a traditional masala Dosa. It was rather a Ghee Dosa with masala inide it. Sambar had no flavour and was thick like porridge. The Coconut chutney was just a namesake watery thing, which didn't taste like coconut. Mysore Masala Dosa - served the wrong Dosa, promptly replaced with the correct order. But the Dosa had no flavour or salt. Same gooey sambar and co in it chutney. Pander masala Dosa - took 90 minutes and 3 reminders to receive, but was again bland with not much flavour. The pre-teen was no longer hungry by the time the order arrived. Veg Noodles - this was a fusion confusion. The noodles was a bit dry with very little sauce and again no flavour to the dish or salt. The vegetables were visible in the dish but somehow were tasteless. TQuite oddly the noodles was made with butter which overpowered the flavours and wasnt thr best fusion noodles ive had. Also lacked flavours apart from butter. Paneer Pakoras - apparently this was good, the kids loved it. PS - I'm native south indian and has tasted traditional south indian dishes in 100's of Indian restaurants. And this will definitely be in the bottom of the list in Australia. Would I visit again - no. Wild I recommend to anyone - no. Although this restaurant is slightly better priced than the adjacent restaurant, the food requires more life.

Tandoori Oven was such an awesome find. I usually expect nothing out of Indian restaurants usually - Tandoori Oven was such a pleasant surprise. We walked in during a quiet weekday afternoon, with Puran on the counter we got talking. Went ahead with his recommendations on food and it was one of the finest that I have had in Australia. Everything had the authentic Punjab and its lovely flavours. The Dal was nowhere close to the commercial dal we get here - reminded me of how my grandmother used to cook the dal in an open utensil on wood fire. Paneer was super soft and melted in the mouth. The salted lassi was equally awesome. The right mix of spices in everything we ordered - just authenticity and passion towards food is all what we experienced. The best part was when Puran got a few toys for my toddler son, played with him briefly and got him some quick bites to keep him busy and kept coming back to check on him to ensure he was happy. Plus he had some good insights for us on things to do locally, going to the extent of organising a taxi. We came back again, we were in a rush tonight and I placed the order on the phone. He ensured everything was ready and good to go by the time we arrived within 10 mins of placing the order. Why would you not keep going back to a place that invests so much in customer experience and ensures consistency of food each and every time.

We visited this restaurant on a quiet weekday, so it wasn't at all busy only with takeaway. We received our meal promptly. I was rather disappointed as they didn't have the aloo gobi, which was my first choice, so I ordered the eggplant. Nicely prepared & well spiced dish with large chunks of potatoes. Generous portions & pleasant service. Update recent return visit.....on returning we expected to get aloo gobi. No availability again, evidently no cauliflower !! Also, no vegetables served with our chicken order as stated on menu

We had dinner at this restaurant on 8 June 2013. It was a rainy day, we were tired after an all day trip to Daintree and Cape Tribulation plus it was just a 2 minutes walk from Rydges Plaza where we were staying. We ordered the house wine which at $5 for a large glass was very good value and not bad at all. We skipped the entree's and went straight for the curries, naans and rice and I must say we were pleasantly surprised not just by the freshness and taste but also the quantities served which were generous. As Indians, we are normally very fussy about the taste, spicing and level of heat of Indian food as local restaurants normally tend to modify the food to suit western palates and tend to make it mild. We asked for medium heat and believe me, we were not disappointed. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and were quite surprised to read the negative reviews published. The service was very quick and the waitresses were polite Well, that was our pleasant experience and we can only comment on what we...
