Had no booking - but they gave us a table for 4 in a separate dining area! Was only the two of us. Beautiful carvings and Thai ornaments and decorations everywhere. Solid wood tables - impressive. The food we ordered came rather quickly. It was very tasty, and the portions are large - price also on the upper scale. The serving staff - except the young male taking the order and serving us various times - should take lessons in a Tourism and Hospitality course. Not a smile - nothing - just banged the plates on the table, and that was it. Not once - every time. That was disappointing. Paying the bill - same - not asking - how was your meal, etc. Oh, maybe we did not spend enough money, $ 80.00. I had a chicken sate entree. The chicken was overcooked and the sate paste was breaking down with a water component. Very little taste. I then had had red curry prawns for the mains. Although there was a generous serve of prawns they too were overcooked and somewhat tough. The curry was flavourless and had no heat at all. Vegetables were ok. The coconut rice was nice enough though. I tried a Shiraz which was not very good then tried a Merlot. I think it must have been a Shiraz because it tasted the same. Had the Thai duck stir fry and the sweet and sour chicken for takeaway just as they were about to close and they kindly took our order. Super fast creation and nice and hot. Absolutely delicious! Not too salty or over powering and not a hint of excessive greasy/oiliness (yes you can't have a stir fry without a little oiliness!) Lots of meat together with the vegetables that come with it and plenty of sauce.
