We had dinner here tonight and the food & service were absolutely awful + exremely overpriced (except for the pizza chef, he was a gem and was the only reason i deescalated). We arrived with a big group and all ordered our food. Multiple of our dishes were either undercooked or tasteless. The seafood pan was half undercooked and they didn’t offer or have any crackers to break open the shellfish (they offered to take his plate and open it for him). The seafood pasta was the worst of all and didn’t have any taste. When i asked the waitress about this she said she’ll look what she can do and talk to the kitchen. Two minutes later she came back saying the kitchen was closed and they could not do anything for us, also no refunds cause we were already eating the food (we were out all day long and starving). Disappointed and clueless about the service we continued eating, when a few minutes later another waitress came back and asked what the problem was. She offered to get us extra sauce and new veggies from the kitchen (that was apparently not closed). Few minutes later she came back with some tomato sauce for over the pasta and no new veggies.

I tried talking to the chefs after to ask why the communication was all over the place and the pizzachef patiently listened and offered proper solutions. He insisted in making a pizza for us although i said he didn’t have to. An and i was happy to leave it at that. But then the head chef from the kitchen walked up all stand offish and tried blaming it on the waitress, whilst the waitress tried to blame it on the kitchen.

Honestly the chefs (except pizzachef) were all loitering around, not caring about quality or making right what was wrong. And the waitresses were terribly bad at their job (except for the girl behind the bar, who was friendly). We paid heaps for this meal and it left us with more of an empty feeling then what my stomach felt like at the start of dinner. Don’t go here unless that nice pizza-chef takes over and puts some decent people up...

The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making you feel like you’re on holiday the moment you sit down.

The food was the real highlight – every dish we ordered was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. From share plates to hearty mains, everything tasted like it was made with care. You can tell the kitchen uses high-quality ingredients, and the flavours were spot on. Special shoutout to the crispy squid and the steak – both were cooked to perfection.

What really surprised us was how fair and reasonable the prices were, especially considering the beachfront location and generous portion sizes. You’re getting restaurant-quality food and a million-dollar view without the hefty price tag – something that’s hard to come by these days!

Drinks were also fantastic – creative cocktails, a solid wine list, and icy cold beers on tap. Service was friendly, fast, and genuine – the staff really made the experience feel personal without being over the top.

We visited as a family and felt totally welcome, but it would also be the perfect spot for a date night or casual catch-up with friends.

All in all, The Beach House offers great food, stunning views, and amazing value for money. It’s the kind of place you’ll find yourself coming back to again and again. Can’t wait for...
