Dear Beet Bar I fly to Townsville on a regular base and have always enjoyed coming to your cafe for your smoothies and banana on toast. This time I thought to have a little protein and have a poached egg. The eggs tasted delicious due to them being locally sourced. However, for the price to pay for the above photo of my breakfast, I was really disappointed. May I suggest a little green garnish or something to add to entice the eyes. I had to ask for butter as well. It would take a little more creativity. I do also understand that customers do not often eat the garnishes, but it should be a treat to eat out in a cafe and enjoy being served something you would not do at home. Just a small suggestion to bring back a little colour. Otherwise I truly enjoy your smoothies.🎶

I flew all the way to Townsville from San Bernadino California because my tall diabetic friend EVA DARCY said that there would be sick beats at this bar. Upon my arrival into this dusty settlement next to Ross Creek (extremley Rossy by the way), I proceeded straight to The Beet Bar! To my ghastly SHOCK AND HORROR, there were no Beats at this bar (THEY DIDN'T EVEN HAVE BEYONCÉ!!!!!!) in fact there were many BEETROOTS! I DESPISE BEETROOT!

The lack of sick beats maybe me visibly sick! I was made even more nautious because there was beetroots! They came for me, I WAS UNDER ATTACK. I became spattered in red beet juice! I looked like DONALD J. TRUMP after a run! I headed back to the grand hotel and apartments townsville, where I was residing during my temporary residence!

I broke down into tears to not have found any SICK BEATS! I had spent $4000 on United Airlines flights for NOTHING! I Blame the BEET BAR FOR BEING MISLEADING!

I made the reverend journey back to San Bernadino California where I now live scarred by the terrors of...

We have been long standing customers with the beet bar ever since they opened in the city and always pleased with their service and care in our meals but I regret to say for the 1st time ever the last 2 times our order has been messed up very badly and its always been one of the few places we can eat in the city neither me or my daughter can eat gluten or dairy im also vegan but the last 2 times we ordered my daughter was given a gluten bun with dairy cheese and mine most recently yesterday was given a gluten bun when on both occasions as always specified gluten free buns with vegan cheese lucky we can tell just by looking at it that it wasnt right and didn't eat it when on both occasions approached a waitress and they are like yeah its a gluten free bun yeah I think your staff need to learn the difference as when checking with the cook find out its a gluten bun im sorry but you will loose 2 very loyal customers if this keeps happening and orders are consistently...

Although the food is delicious and there are a few very nice staff, I had my final drop - being a pregnant regular customer who orders there a lot, being kicked out of the outside area 14:49 (whilst eating my food where I was finishing the dessert only) when the place close at 15:00. Also found that encounter quite rude (and have experienced rude encounters some times before). In addition on a day where I paid 15% extra for the holiday service charge. 5 minutes before I’d totally understand, but it would’ve only taken me until 14:55 to finish finish my cupcake and I don’t understand why I had to be kicked out so early with food in my mouth. Inside they start hovering/mopping one hour before closing time, which is why I normally sit outside - as I only have a chance to get there the last hour because of work. I’ve quite enjoyed the food there after a long day of work, but won’t be going back again after this. But must say, very much enjoyed the nice vegan range...
