I have been to the Cowboys Leagues Club multiple times over the years and I have never had a bad experience. Everything is set out in an orderly manner and always easily accessible. Which is very convenient for elderly patrons. The dining menu has a very large selection and all of the meals, whether you choose to dine on a salad or choose an incredibly large rump steak, are always extremely top quality and are cooked and or prepared to just the way you like it. The selection of beverages from the bar are multiple and the spirits available are extremely diverse. The raffles each day continually offer a broad range of prizes and events such as the in club bingo are always regularly attended in multiple numbers, certainly not by just the elderly patrons. One part of the Cowboys Leagues Club that I find myself continually making a visit to, is the Cowboys gift shop. Their abundance of Cowboys supporter gear is beyond belief by the various selections and quantity available. If you are ever fortunate enough to visit the Cowboys Leagues club, make sure that you partake in what they have to offer. I am certainly willing to bet that not only do I have nothing but good comments to say about the Cowboys Leagues club, but many other...

Never been to a more friendly welcoming club!. Top marks!! From the smile & warm welcome from the young lady who signed us in & helped us with ideas of things to do in Townsville, to the care and concern for our gluten intolerance from the girls who served us our dinner, even the young lady who brought us our meals could not be faulted! My meal was ok for a club meal at the end of the night; the Lamb Rump meat was hot, tasty and beautifully cooked but all the rest was either overcooked from being there all night or cold from waiting for the meat to be cooked. I am a little concerned about the so-called children's area 'Happy Hooligans'. There is a definite lack of space to have soft play style exercise equipment, but this would definitely be preferable to a row of high chairs facing a video screen and a row of video games next to a row of money grabbing vending machines, which encourage the kids to gamble like their parents...sad what parenting is coming to if the club has to have a sign saying there is a time limit of 2 hours in the area!! A kid would be bored here in 5 minutes these days! Great wall showing the club's short but glorious history and a well stocked and expectedly expensive...

A Night of Disappointment at Cowboys Leagues Club

Our recent experience at Cowboys Leagues Club was nothing short of disastrous, and it's an experience that I feel compelled to share to spare others from a similar fate. We booked a week in advance for a group of 16, expecting a smooth dining experience. Instead, we were met with a series of disappointments that culminated in a meal that was, frankly, shocking.

Upon arrival, we found that our group was split across two separate tables, despite the booking. The initial confusion over simple items like garlic bread, which arrived dry and unappetizing, should have been a warning sign. The main courses were a complete letdown. The steaks were burnt and the salads were inedible. The fish, however, was the biggest offender. It was so bad that we had received a refund for one of the fish dishes, but that is not the point of this review.

Despite warnings from locals, we decided to give Cowboys Leagues Club a chance, only to be met with profound disappointment. This experience has left a lasting impression on our group. It's safe to say that the 16 of us will not be returning to Cowboys...

The club is interesting. They have a bit of everything for everyone. Food, trivia, lucky draw, sports, bar, 2x restaurants, slot machines, kids play area etc The food is decent 90% of the time. There are occasions when they are either too busy or something then the food quality decrease a bit. The club classic meals are awesome. The pork knuckle is a must try 🤤👍 They have kids eat free (one kid meal free for every adult meal) Sunday (at Star Graze) and Monday (at Match). There are other deals for each day of the week. You may want to check it out on their websites. They also have several different dishes of the month and chef meal of the month etc They have plenty of car park and you can get the ticket validated if the boom gate is still down when you are leaving. Will need driver license if you are not a member. Things that could be better: - Coffee not great, needs better bean at the minimum. Even hot chocolate not great either. - The chicken wings at Star Graze a bit hit be miss. I think occasionally they are not steam before frying so they come out bone dry.

The Cowboys club crew has displayed "What is Hospitality mean". At the moment you enter the club' staff will right away approach and ask if you need any help. They are always busy during meal service hours so make a booking even just for two people. Otherwise arrive 1.5 hours before meal service hours ( lunch at 12.00/ dinner 6.00). Their menu is not a pub standard is actually a proper restaurant quality and a good size for the price 👌, they have two kitchens ( the main meal service and the Cafe bar which serves until late night who also has a good menu variety). If you are a 🤠 👢 supporter the club has a souvenirs shop at the front entrance as well a play room for the children near the Cafe bar on the Friday,Saturday and events night they provide a child mender. Their is live entertainment on Thursday at the sports bar, Friday & Saturday at the mean restaurant. The club is clean 👌 and has a relaxed atmosphere. My favourite the club supports all Charity so expect Charity volunteers selling raffle tickets.

My husband and I went into Cowboys for lunch today the 26th January, as the cyclone hit last night and no power. My husband had the seafood basket and you could not even cut the fish with the knife. When I picked it up, it didn’t look right, but I thought I will give you the benefit of the doubt. It may be lovely, no I was wrong. My husband said it was not very nice, but he ate it, as we have no power.. I don’t know if the people that is preparing the food cares, but we are paying for this food and it should be presented nice, not dry and the fish was pasty. The food is very average now, it use to be lovely, very hit and miss. The photo’s is the remainder of the piece of battered, burnt and dried fish that my husband could not eat, very disappointing, as he usually gets the seafood basket all the time.
