Third on the Left Palm Cove — Restaurant in Queensland

This place was recommended by a friend, it was cute inside and the service initially seemed good, had a nice glass of Prosecco and I ordered a cheese platter and a bowl of olives. Unfortunately the olives were stone cold and the bread that came with the olives was like two day old stale bread, and was also stone cold straight out of the fridge. The bread on the cheese platter was the same. I mentioned this to the waitress and she just said no we don’t warm up the olives and yes that bread is from 2 days ago and we don’t warm that up either. I told her that it was quite average and she just apologised a walked away. The couple on the table next to me overheard me and said they thought the same thing. We were keen for a few drinks while in Palm Cove from out of town. As a couple of others have noted, no bueno if you've got kids with you (they've got a somewhat rude A4 sign up to the left with house rules saying so). Fine to have a no kids policy, if you want to cut yourself out of a market I suppose, but no need to be jerks about it.

Noting in responses to others commenting similar the owner says "the vast majority" of their customers have no problem with the no kids rule... People allowed into a venue don't tend to complain about being let in - no joke?

Head through any door except the 'third on the left' (name alone should've been clue to the pompousness) and you'll get a decent vino, without the pretentiousness and without being made...

Heaven forbid you walk into this establishment with a pram. We had not even yet walked through the doors at 5:50 when the female bartender working stated to my two friends (finishing their drink at the bar) “we don’t do kids here”, both in a condescending and unprofessional tone. She then made it known to me as I entered. It’s the age old saying: it’s not what you say it’s how you say it. Shocking to me, considering the place wasn’t anywhere near full, and I had only intended on sitting and waiting for my friends to finish their drink.
