Paradise On The Beach Resort — Hotel in Palm Cove

Very disappointed with our stay here!! The pool was out of order for the first 3 days of our trip, which is out of their control fair enough. We booked 2 rooms and got put on seperate floors (even booking months in advance and requesting adjacent rooms). We both paid the same price, yet their room was bigger. We didn’t have a hairdryer in our room, yet our friends did. Our view was of a big white roof, which had people using a blower vac at 7am to clean. Exhaust fan in bathroom didn’t work (didn’t even have a switch to turn it on??) railings falling off walls, and housekeeping only came twice a week (which we were not notified about). You can hear everything that everyone is doing in the rooms around you, we could hear when the people in the room above us rolled over in bed!!!! Out of all these things, car parking was the worst. Not enough spaces for even half the guests, only 11 spaces all together on a first come first serve basis (with barely any street parking avaliable). As well as being in a tiny garage, incredibly frustrating. Bugs everywhere, and having to wash our dishes in the bathroom sinks wasn’t pleasant! (as well as dodgy showers). Definitely budget friendly, but not very comfortable. The only saving grace was the friendly enough staff, one gentlemen even being nice enough to let us use the pool of another hotel down the road since theirs was out of order And the...

We found this accommodation perfect for us. Our room was clean, spacious, comfortable. Had a microwave, refrigerator and dish ware should we need them to reheat any of the amazing local cuisine with in walking distance. And we did! The Irish Stew from the pub up the street was almost better when reheated! Lol! ||Directly across the street is the beach. Either direction is terrific! A pier hosts many fishers…it was interesting to check out! And the long stretch of beach had many stories to tell and lent an ear to listen as we made our way for over an hour stroll. The ocean was welcoming for a swim too!||The hotel has a spa, which we enjoy the first day of our arrival. I thought it was a hot tub, but the water was not that hot… just bubbly, but nice. We noticed many people during our stay were enjoying the pool.||The staff were very friendly, professional, and helpful! We also found Sue at the activity desk in the lobby to be INCREDIBLY HELPFUL!!! A very generous soul!!! She went above and beyond to make our stay one we will...

Well...this review will be lengthy. We are well travelled so this is my t be taken with a grain f salt.. This was our second stay at POTB. We tried to stay longer but they were unfortunately booked out. Which is fine as it gave us a clear comparison on how wonderful, clean, friendly and just all round amazing from the staff to the owners and surrounding area and even the other guests were. If there were 6 stars... we would give them 7. We really needed a getaway for my partner and I to unwind and relax and we were not disappointed. The staff who serviced our room were wonderful and friendly and I can assure you, you will not get the same service and and feel more welcomed anywhere else in Palm Cove. We have stayed at numerous hotel chains and POTB win hands down. The Owners make sure the common areas are spotless too.
