West End Hotel Townsville — Restaurant in Queensland

For a last minute lunch spot I must say this place was amazing. We sat outside and the breeze and view of Castle Hill was delightful. It was not busy in the back courtyard but inside was busy with a bunch of bookings and the drinks were flowing. Ordered inside and everything went smoothly, I must say the added touch of a 'free' salad bar with fruit and some warm food was a great touch. Ordered the chicken sandwich and chefs signature beef burger were both great. I absolutely loved my chicken, it was cooked well and the depth of flavours with the sauces and avocado was great. My partners beef burger was slightly on the drier side, but that was made up for with the chips and aoli sauce. That aoli sauce was absolutely heavenly, the tanginess, garlic and herbs were 'chefs kiss'. There was none remaining and we both wish we could have taken a bottle home. We’ve now had two events at the West End Hotel, and can safely say we would highly recommend this venue to anyone! We booked the back area for both occasions and it was absolutely stunning each time.

The team went above and beyond to accommodate every one of our needs — from providing candles for the birthday cake to even letting us use the dimming lights feature to set the perfect mood.

After a stressful couple of months planning our event, it was such a relief to be so well looked after and to enjoy the night without any worries.

A huge thank you to the West End Hotel team for being so generous, welcoming, and attentive — and a big shout-out to Brad and the other managers for going above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect!

Went for dinner tonight, very disappointed with the meals. . We had a small party of 4, three meals came out together the fourth meal which was a schnitzel was 10 minutes later . . To me this is very rude when three people are eating and the other guest is standing waiting for their meal.. There was not much to choose from in the vegetable baymarie. . NO CHIPS, ( none were bought out the entire time we were there eating our main meals). When we commented to the waiter his reply was oh well maybe they should just put chips on the plates as they come out. . .
