Castletown Carvery — Restaurant in Queensland

I visited Carvery Townsville this morning for breakfast with my daughter and had a very disappointing experience. We ordered two cappuccinos and cheese sandwiches with ham and avocado. The customer service was lacking, to say the least.

After waiting for 10 minutes, we still hadn’t received our second cappuccino. When I approached the counter to inquire about it, I was met with a dismissive attitude from an older staff member who told me to sit down because they had more customers. We waited a few more minutes, but the second cappuccino never came.

This kind of service is unacceptable. We expected a pleasant breakfast experience, but instead, we were treated rudely and left unsatisfied. I won’t be returning and would not recommend this...

My wife and i stopped by here after shopping. The staff were very friendly, professional, efficient and considerate, noticing without mention that my wife and i were to share a meal and providing additional knife and forks.

The meal was delicious! We had roast beef, lamb and pork, with baked potato and roast potato topped with gravy.

This was accompanied by 2 chocolate milkshakes.

All of the meat and potato was so tender, fresh and full of flavour we remarked many times on how soft it was as we attempted to put onto our forks.

While we ate we observed how friendly and helpful the staff were; bright and happy in their work.

Food is good,service atrocious with orders,no time management. Guys,it's time to get with the program,a new ordering system & someone on the end of the register who is organised. Number the tables,give numbers to customers so the staff can find the person who ordered instead of walking round in circles. Time to move with the times,it's not the 80's & being a family owned business,one would thought you would have with the amount of customers you get The only person who is organised is the young skinny girl,lovely & great customer service. I really hope the owners appreciate this employee & pay her above what...
