Up until recently, this particular store operated well but unfortunately have appeared to have dropped the ball big time. I can understand having a huge turnover of staff can lead to issues especially with training newbies, but when it impacts service times, it starts creating issues.
When a nuimber of the senior staff are on, it's good. Coffee is good, food is good and the wait times are reasonable to good. Not waiting too long. But when the new staff are on, especially during peak times, don't expect things in a hurry or above average quality.
I've been there during a quiet night and it took 30 minutes to get my coffee, in the drive-thru no less, due to the supervisor being so fixated on giving a newbie step-by-step instructions on what to do with EVERYTHING. Got a free coffee voucher for my wait, but I'd rather service be a LOT quicker than a free coffee at a later stage with the risk of succumbing to the incredibly long wait again.
I've also been there during a semi-busy time. Saw the drive-thru had a few cars in it, so I walked in instead. Drive-thru was heavily prioritised over walk in customers so I was pushed back a lot even though there was hardly anyone waiting inside for their coffee and food and cars just constantly rolling through the drive-thru. There didn't appear to be any order between walk ins and drive-thru. Just drive-thru kept being put ahead of walk ins. Waited 25-30 minutes and almost ended up running late to work as a result as I expected only a 10 minute wait. And even only the drive-thru coffee machines were being operated.
Personally, I feel that more senior staff need to be rostered on and orders prioritised appropriately, especially during peak times. Didn't have an issue up until the last few months, but there seems to be a BIG change in staff that's likely to have contributed to the disfunction that...
Read moreInconsistent, staff are either lazy or not trained properly. They seem to just assume what you want instead of asking the right questions neccesary to make sure your order is in fact what you want. There is always a descent number of staff on hand, more than I have ever seen in one coffee shop at a time. This makes me curious as to why they are only using one window in the drive through. Perhaps if they utilised both, errors made over the ordering box could be resolved before the product is made and customers would receive what they ordered. I frequent this store every time I am in town, I have even paid for customers in the drive through behind me because I enjoy my coffee and believe it is a nice thing to do. This week I have not been impressed, I feel let down and have not had the experience that puts me in a giving mood. I head back out of Town tomorrow and like always I'll buy my usual for my grandma and I, hopeful it is...
