The team here are so enthusiastic and happy! At first I thought it was because the store is located across the road from a sub-station and the electro-magnetic field has cast its waves across the store and infiltrated it's employees, but I later realised that whilst large'ish' it's a minor sub-station, so nope that's not the reason; it's because the team are just happy to be at work, around each other and their customers. Such is the sincere energy of their happiness it makes me want to go to the supermarket next door and purchase a packet of jelly beans to gobble up in anticipation to try and be half as happy as this team are! This splendid natural positive atmosphere is reflected in their superb coffee making. It's why I keep coming back and indulging myself in the appetising salivating pleasures that the coffee bean brings to my life. But in order to be enjoyed to the maximum, one must know how to bring those beans to their maximum potential. And this coffee shop's employees do! Other coffee shops around town should take note of all I have mesmerised about here. Keep up the great work Zarraffa's...
Read moreI brought my own cup and asked for my coffee to be made in it. I asked for staff to rinse it first because I had already used it for coffee earlier in the day.
While initially the staff agreed, a moment after taking my cup the staff said "sorry, we can't do that because you've already had coffee in this cup. It's a healthy and safety thing" and gave me the cup back.
The point of a keep cup is to reduce waste, to clean it and reuse it! You should also expect people to be able to use it for multiple coffees per day.
This is absurd! What's the point of promoting the use of keep cups for the environment, reduce waste and what not, but not being willing to wash it, or even rinse it, for your customers?
Even if there is a remote chance of there being a food safety issue (which would be still be present in every item of food or drink you serve in a cup or on a plate), the fact that I brought my own cup and asked you to rinse it means I'm the one taking responsibility for the risk.
Very poor service on such a simple little thing. I have had no problem with getting my cup rinsed/washed at...
Read moreUsed to love this zarraffas but now everytime I go in I can never get a word in with my order without getting asked a million times for add ons, double shot?, new origin beans?, double this double that. That was okay I would just say no but today it was sneaky. I ordered my coffee and a croissant then when my order was read back to me she added in the croissant with double ham and cheese, being so busy I didn’t realise she said this and just said yes as I was trying to get out of there. That’s where they get you, she never asked if I wanted it, she read it as like I ordered that. Then was charged a lot more than expected. Please just let me order what I ask for. Feels like maccas getting you to add on more stuff. My sister had the same problem as well. Really friendly people but it’s...
