It has been awhile since I have been to Ruocco. So yesterday in a beautiful day, I decided to take my family there to have lunch. Food was great and the drink was refreshing, but my enjoyment ended when my son tried to get an ice cream. After our main meal, my son chose and ordered his ice cream from the ice cream counter. He told us the staff was busy cutting cake for customers. So we waited patiently. 10 minutes later after I saw a dine-in customer and 2 walk-in customers ordered and got their ice cream, I told my son to remind the waitress of his. Instead, the waitress told him to go back to his table, and she would come to take the order (but my son had chosen and ordered). Another 5 minutes had passed and no one or nothing came. At the end I called for the waitress. I complained that while he was still waiting for his ice cream and the others who ordered later got theirs! She told me they ordered before my son did his but I had witnessed my son ordered his before the others. She then defended the walk-in customers had paid for their ice cream, but we had not. Don't dine-in customers pay for their meals before leaving but we were still eating? So how could we pay for ours in advance and my son was not told about this? At the end, I just wanted my son's ice cream, so I pleaded with the waitress to get it. However, she still said she was busy and we had to wait for the order to be taken. Finally, I had enough and gave up. I told her we didn't want it anymore. Luckily I checked my bill before paying. My son's ice cream order was on the bill even though we never got it! (Remember she claimed that we had not ordered and she was too busy to take it?) Imagine if I trusted the restaurant and just paid the bill without checking after being...

My family & I had booked a large table for a Sunday night early (5:30) dinner. We were seated and presented our menus. we placed the order for food about 30 minutes later. we did not see our food until over an hour later. 2 others & myself all left the restaurant without seeing our food at 7:15pm. my partner stayed and had the food be put in a take away container and then met me at the car. about 10 minutes after I had left.

When we ordered, there was no mentions of delays in the kitchen, no mention of a long wait. we didn't even get an apology for the delay until we asked for it to go.

The young man that was serving us was probably looking after a section of 50-60 people. it was clear he was either new or overwhelmed by the amount of people. we had an excessive wait time to even get our drinks brought to us (bottles & soft drinks) 2 of the drinks were even delivered to the wrong table.

The food itself was also nothing special. my Gnocchi Ragyu, was bland and overcooked. From what I hear from the family members that stayed, they were also un-impressed. my sisters steak was sent back to the kitchen for being near-on raw and was then returned overcooked as well as tasting foul. My Dad ordered the chilli mussels and couldn't even stomach them.

The amount of people in this small little space created way too much noise.

At the end of the night, my parents then had to wait to settle the bill while the server continued to take orders...

Saturday afternoon lunch. I usually love this place, but today must wasn't on point as it usually is. It wasn't busy at all which is fine by us, only one other couple there before us and as we were leaving a few more groups started to enter. It wasn't busy which we had hoped would provide good quality food and fast service. We did have fast service.

We ordered a garlic bread and Margarita pizza. Unfortunately our pizza was burnt black at the crust edges on three slices, which was effectively one side of the pizza. The pizza itself was good, not great, not bad other than the burnt crust edges on the slices.

The garlic bread which was good. Again not great but not bad.

While there were only one other couple, we asked to be seated inside as we noted most of the outdoor seating was already reserved and we didn't want to be seated next to the door entry which seemed to be the only available outside table available. We opted to sit inside. We were placed right next to the only other couple in the entire restaurant, closest to the entry. It seemed like the fastest option for our host.

We did enjoy the wall painted scenery of the Italian coast in the room we sat.

I'll go back because I know they're normally better, I have always enjoyed my time there, today was an off day... but unfortunately it was the first impression for an international guest and I'm not sure they're going to...

A few people have recommended Ruocco’s and it was good to finally try it out, not just once but twice over two weekends! The First weekend we went with my family and the second for a birthday, on both occasions the restaurant was fully with a line out the door. The atmosphere inside is understandably loud, considering the number of people. The restaurant is cozy and has a Tuscan vibe inside. They have lots of room both inside and out and cater well for large groups. Service was very good with a wait staff attending promptly taking orders. The menu options while traditional are creative, with a slight twist and have options accommodate most peoples tastes. Choices are clearly labeled and described, taking note to those with food allergies and/or preferences. With all the food ordered, on both occasions, there wasn’t a disappointing dish that anyone complained about. Meal size’s were well portioned, so no one was left feeling hungry after finishing their meal. Food my wife, kids and I had all tasted great. Stand-out dish for me were the house made ravioli, Petto di pollo fracito and osso buco. I highly recommend Ruocco’s! A great place for any occasion, whether with a group of friends and/or family or dinner for 2.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance in the late afternoon, around 5:30 to 6:00 PM. At the time, it was about half full, so we were seated quickly. We ordered the chorizo vongole pasta, a seafood pizza, and a kids’ meal bolognese. Every dish was absolutely delicious! The pasta was flavorful, the pizza was loaded with fresh seafood, and even the kids’ meal was a hit. The staff were warm and attentive, making our experience even better. For dessert, we couldn’t resist trying the tiramisu and the affogato with Ferrero Rocher gelato—both were amazing and the perfect way to end our meal. By the time we were leaving, around 6:30 to 7:00 PM, the restaurant was completely full. We realized how lucky we were to get a table without waiting. The restaurant also surprised us with its clean and newly renovated restrooms, which added to the overall pleasant experience. The portions were generous, the prices reasonable, and the menu offered a wide variety of choices. The cozy atmosphere and great service make this a place I’ll definitely return to. Highly recommended!

My partner introduced me to Ruoccos and we come here quite regularly. We have our favourite dishes the cabonara and aranchini balls although sometimes we do change it up and have other dishes on the menu. The ragu and lasagna are great. Meals are large. Garlic bread is good. 4 pieces for $6. Atmosphere is inviting and depending on how you like to dine you can come in earlier before 5pm and have the place pretty much to yourself or later in the evening where it's buzzing with more people. Desserts are good we always get them take away. Recommended you try Choc Orange Mousse and the Lavender Panna Cotta. Prices are very reasonable and for two people with alcoholic drinks and desserts it's around $100. Three people maybe a little more. Updating my review to say we dined with 5 tonight and had a really great time, one of our dishes was incorrect and it was fixed straight away. All up for 5 meals, drinks (including cocktail) and 3 desserts $210.00. They also do take away containers for leftover meals. Highly recommend.
