Back in the fifties at South Beach . Side show alley was brimming with life at Christmas time it was a lovely atmosphere . Early in the morning we would walk to the beach and walk along the jetty or have a swim . Go home for lunch and back down again . Sammy the Seal was a regular visitor :) These days I go for nostalgia trips ,walk along the beautiful beach with its white sand,I love listening to the waves as they rush up to shore ,memories of our early mornings of yesteryear, Gods music . Watching the Seagulls ,still every where :) The people with their dogs , I dont think there were two the same , everyone is friendly along with the dogs . The fish and chips are a treat ,the service is great :) The photo of my brother and myself ,was taken by the resident photographer. The other photo us of our cousins with us at Christmas time . Nice to see the old Pine trees still...

South beach is a gift from God herself..... Love the diversity and options are endless for sitting spots. Water isn't too salty which is great for my eyes. Love the grass, love the sand. And LOVE the pontoon. One improvement would be to give names to each section of the beach - it makes meeting up with friends a whole lot easier. Another suggestion, is for another shower around the sauna area perhaps? Would be good for those with walking troubles. Also - what's happening with the toilet block? Maybe, another toilet up by the...

Such a nice beach with nice big grass area and really sweet even if the water is cold and it's the end of Autumn. So cool to catch the cat bus back to the station if you need to and there's a nice cafe and food shops/cafe strip nearby and sometimes I've seen a drum circle gather at night across from there where there are trees and more grass where the car park is. Really like it there its way different to cottosloe which is still good but yeah been a few times here now and found it quite peaceful gets pretty busy...

Fun in the sun. The kids love it. Right at the far end of Fremantle, it's a great spot. This was my beach growing up and we still visit although we live near the hills. The cafe on the grassed area is good. The grassed area on the northern part of beach allows you ocean view whereas the South end the grass and beach are separated by the sand hill. There is a pontoon which you can see in the picture.

South beach is always calm and the water is often crystal clear over the summer months. It’s perfect for a quick dip or an entire day out with friends and family. On a nice day you can see all the way out to Rottnest Island. The north side of the beach past the break wall is an off-leash dog friendly zone and I find it a joy to interact and meet all the happy pups out and about
