Cafe Kondi — Restaurant in Stirling

We found this charming little restaurant late on Mother's Day afternoon and were surprised to find it. A hidden gem you might say! Lovely coffee which was exactly all we wanted that visit. The staff were exceptional from their service and attitude to the presentation of food we saw delivered to tables. We will definitely return to enjoy the food any also because its retro decor is so nostalgic with the soft furnishings instead of floor tiles and glass & metal tables and chairs, which make the environment so noisy. We could hear the conversation we were having with no difficulty. It's a rare thing these days to be out with friends or family and be able to not only enjoy good food and service but also good conversation!!!...

When you first walk in it warm and cosy, tables against the wall have a caravan feel. Little booths with option for 2 people to sit left or right. Small tables ideal for just a quick coffee and small pastry. It does get busy and get loud, as there is only one person serving. Coffees take awhile to arrive to the table. Waited almost 25mins Eggs and bacon hot. Coffee is very bitter, not sure if it is the beans or the machine as not had a proper clean. Was not a nice coffee to drink. Cafe Kondi is one of the hidden gems of Adelaide Hills. I remember going there in the winter of 2017 but then again finding my way back to it ever since. The place reminds you of an era gone by with it's retro booths, fireplaces and the general feeling of warmth and contentment. The food is fantastic and very reasonably priced too.
